I don't own a Game Golf set and I also havent seen one up close BUT I'll add my two cents anyway. Could you modify the tag for the putter into a nice ballmarker form factor? Extra credit for integrating it into a nice two piece ball marker type design. Would this be beter or worse than just keeping the thing "as is" in your pocket? Don't know. Could be cool though.

It could definitely be done. The only problem with doing that is that it would not be able to be screwed into the grip cap of any other putter that didn't have a CB weight if you were to change putters. The goal is to not modify the design so it can be used in future applications while at the same time being able to use it with a CB. I think someone earlier in here posted that they'd screwed theirs into a wine cork so it was easier to get in and out of their pocket.

well, they give you a few extra tags

just cut the screw off of one of them and attach it to the CB putter

if you ever go back to a traditional putter, use another tag

I screwed the tag of center into the additional rubber on the butt of the grip. It seems to be working fine.

Thanks! I actually just found one today on the bay for 145 so not as cheap as two that have sold here in the past week but still a good price. I should have it by Friday or Saturday and I can't wait to try it out.

You are going to love it! Will take some getting used to at first, but once you get 10+ rounds under it you will never play golf without it again.

Hey all! so i am just waiting for it to get here ughh haha it will be here tomorrow. I have a question, what type of stats does it do besides the basic stats that most gps units/score keepers do? I know it can show me FIR, GIR, Putts, distances, and what not, but just wondering what else it will show me.

FIR %, GIR %, Scrambling %, Sand Save %, Avg putts/hole

After you get a bunch of rounds under it, you can start to see individual club data (% missing left/right/long/short). And as you create a "bag" of clubs it always keeps the data for the clubs you create. For instance you can compare your stats between drivers OR hybrids opposed to irons.

But it really is dependent on using it every time you play golf. Otherwise it's just a novelty.

I have over 30 rounds in mine and its full of great data!

Awesome! Just remember it takes a little getting used to, so don't get frustrated with it your first few rounds.

I screwed up my first round upload and lost it completely. Second round I missed about 30 shots. Third round got a little smoother only missed tagging some putts. After the fourth or fifth round it was pretty smooth sailing. I still occasionally miss a tag putt, so i always keep a hard copy score card as well to go back for penalty strokes or other missed tags, etc...

so got my first round in with it and awesome stuff. Not a great round golf wise haha mostly do to it being real windy and driver was suffering due to it, but I actually didn't have a problem remembering to buzz the club at all. As picky and detail oriented I am, it was really easy. Now when I go out with my friends, I see that i might forget one or two but shouldn't be a problem. Can't wait to get more rounds in to see truer results with clubs and such

It's also a great tool for use with the mobile app. For instance; when you play the same course you can go back and look at the shots you hit for each hole and maybe hit something different. Or simply hit the same shot with more confidence.

So while I was checking out some YouTube reviews of GG today I came across a presentation that the GG CEO did last week. In it he mentions that they "just released" the ability to not even have to tag shots anymore, that since they know the "signature" of a swing using the accelerometer you can do it without tagging.

Anyone seen yet how this would work? Not sure how it would know what club you were using if it did this.

Either way, I jumped on the Amazon lightning deal today. I've been on the fence but for $120 I figured it was worth the shot.

How is everyone setting up the difference between different pitch/chip shots, if they are doing that at all? Are you using the "extra" sensors in your pocket for this or just dealing with strange averages for your wedges?

I watched the video on the new updates - during the post round review, GG will highlight on screen any shots you took where you forgot to tag a club. Seems pretty cool.

It doesn't know what club you hit, you have to go in and edit that later, but it knows where you hit it from.

Thank you! I figured it was but wanted to be sure. I'm planning on having one of these systems next season and just planning it's use now.
