Nice looking setup. Love the old style Titleist PT 3 wood headcover! Also the plainest looking Scotty Cameron headcover I've ever seen.

Pretty boring by today's standards, BUT, he is #1 in the FEDEX Cup standings and isn't that what it's all about?? Well played Jimmy... you're "moving on up!"

Heaven to Mercy, stock titleist shaft!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Probably tipped at least an inch, but goes to show just how good the Acushnet / D & S series MRC shaft offerings are, 117mph swing guy.

Soooo...the question still stands. Does he still have the SLDR 3 wood or switch to the 913 FD. If he switched it was very recent, I believe he won with the SLDR in the bag in Hawaii. Any imput?

From what I saw during his rounds at pebbles, titleist 3w was in the bag - revised that was his 5 wood FD, Saw the Red and white speeder on the replay - he's got the S+ in the 3w - he took it 250 yds(258 to the pin) right at to #14 green @ PB final round, that green is the size of postage stamp

He kills it!!! 258 off the deck and 321 off the tee is deep, that hole plays down wind (off the ocean) but hitting the ball that far at sea level, in that air is impressive.
Absolutely. Cold, damp, sea level air makes it feel like you're hitting the ball through Jello. 321 off the tee in those conditions is massive, tail-wind or not.

Can't believe he plays that "garbage, Made in China" Diamana S+ in his driver... What's wrong with you, Jimmy?!? :taunt:

If I had a putter that beautiful to the eye that helped me make putts like JW has been, I wouldn't want to call any undue attention to it either.

It's probably an Oban White with S+ paint in an attempt to trick the public :to_become_senile:

If he is hitting the ball like this later this summer, it will be fun to see his distances at the warm, humid Midwest courses like Firestone and Murfield.

Exactly what I was thinking, Scratch. That's one of the funniest things about playing golf on our vacations in the upper Midwest; it's like a free shot from the fountain of youth. Even at elevations of only 1500 to 2000 feet, the difference in the way the ball behaves is stark. Even the effect of the occasional unwanted sidespin (not that we've ever done that, ever) is noticeably diminished.

Shhhhh..... Don't mention it to the MW guys on here, someone might get offended when you tell them their 170 yard 8 iron would be 150 on the coast.

Wish I could post it from my work computer, but my bro just emailed me a picture of Walker at the top of his backswing from the Barclays last year. In the picture, he's a dead ringer for a young TW and DL3. Huge shoulder turn, high hands, here comes the boom!

Nice one, JW! :taunt:

He can hit it 321 with a spinny Titleist head and a stock shaft? Imagine what he could do with a SLDR.

Keep tossing softballs my friend.

I learned how to do it from the best on here... months in the making baby!

I was just thinking how far he'd be bombing SLDR in the midwest.

2500 spin with a 913 driver is crazy.

Those numbers are absolutely "Dyno Mite" as you say-- when you take into account those are averages from swings taken on course under tournament pressure they're even more incredible.

It does go to show you though that even a guy with serious speed doesn't need an ultra low launch shaft to get the job done.
