Cash Covers...who to buy from?

Piedmont? Patrick Gibbons? Appalachian Leather?

I just posted a thread about my new one from piedmont. Jays prices are great and quality is outstanding.

I picked one up from Scratch that wasn't very expensive and looks great. I also have one from Piedmont that is top notch.

I think Piedmont Leather has some fine products to choose from.

I bought one from Sun City Boots via ebay and it has held up well so far. The auction was for one w/ out straps on the inside for cards, id, etc. and they sewed on the straps at no extra cost. I ended up getting the croc belly skin, cigar colored. Love it!

Give a shout to Piedmont. They do amazing work and Jay provides excellent customer service that can't be beat.

You pay for quality once.... and the three you named will do the job with the right amount of coin.

A vote for Appalachian Leather here. I've got 2 that still look brand new even though they are a few years old.

Called Jay at Piedmont Leather and ordered the matte black alligator that he had on special.

Jay just shot an email out for select elephants for 59.95. I just got an elephant and it is awesome.

Ordered a gray croc with white stitching from Appalachian Leather Works. Can't wait to start using a cash cover again. I lost mine last summer and miss it.

I've had a Piedmont Ostrich leg cover for 5 years . . . still looks like new. Highly recommended!

Please pardon my ignorance on these, I've googled and not seen much (bi-fold wallet vs. cash cover).

From what it looks like, the cash covers do not have a pocket for the cash like a wallet does. Essentially, with a cash cover, you slide the money through the O-ring to hold it in place, correct? It appears that some cash covers have pockets for license, credit cards, etc., but not much more than slots for 4 cards it seems.

Some of the cash covers linked here look fantastic, and have really piqued my curiosity. I just want to be clear that I understand what is going on with them. My grandpa gave me a leather wallet that has lasted me a great 20 years, but the it's nearing it's end, and the maker no longer exists. I'd love to replace it with something that will last just as long.

I would also be interested to see some pictures with cash and cards inside one.

I have a phone case that holds my phone and cards and a money clip that holds my cash. I am trying to see what the advantages of a cash cover for cards and cash would be over my current set-up.

You're welcome - - Jay at Piedmont sold me the cover and I have loved it. I go through the o-rings fairly regularly because I'm stupid and lose them. Every time I order more from Jay, he sticks a hand written thank you note in the envelope . . . for $3 o-rings!!

The O-rings can be bought at the local hardware store for maybe 30 cents. I have 1 Piedmont cash cover and another on the way. Top notch stuff.

I think they are goofy...

I am beginning to dislike my money clip because the edges of the bills aren't stiff enough to hold shape and they get smashed up in my pocket. Also, mine has a pretty powerful magnet and my keys get stuck to it and I worry it is messing with my phone.

I like mine way better than my old money clip. I've carried it in the front or back pocket with keys and phone and never had any issues. I went with a lizard from piedmont and 3-4 years later looks just like the day I bought it. Will never go back to a traditional wallet or money clip.

Looking into the Piedmont cash covers. How many cards will they hold comfortably?

I have 5 on each side right now, could do 2-3 more. Was a little tight early on but they break in pretty easily.
