Button-Down Collar Polos

Trying to find other brands that have button-down collars on their polos. So far I’ve found Greyson to be a good fit for me as well as Criquet (although not button down, I use metal collar stays and magnets inside the shirt).

Anyone have any other brands that I should look into?

Thanks

    Uniqlo makes one - https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/men-airism-short-sleeve-polo-shirt-413441.html?dwvar_413441_color=COL69&cgid=men-polos
They used to make a "dry fit" one, but they seem to be unavailable at this time.

The Uniqlo ones are nice. I had bought them for casual wear as opposed to golfing with but they seemed to keep their shape after a decent amount of washes which is not always the case.

Did you get the dry fit ones or the cotton?

I've bought the Pique and the Air Sim polos, both are absolutely excellent, both in the cut and the durability after numerous washes. They are prob the best non-branded polo I've come across.

Good to know, I think I’ll pick up a few of the dry-ex polos.

Under Armour used to have one and may still. The button loops were on the underside of the collar and the buttons hidden. Thought it was a clever take on it.

I do have one of the linksoul button down collars and it’s great, I forgot I had that one actually. They don’t make many of that style it seems...

Take a look at Stitch, some but not all have hidden button down collar. Great shirts. (Same company that makes head covers)

How's the fit on Uniqlo? Slimmer? True to size?

I have a couple I picked up a few years ago from Travis Matthews that have the button down collar with the buttons on the underside of the collar. Don't know if still available but the collars have stayed in great shape.

Thanks! What is the fit like on those? I wear a Greyson Medium for reference, Travis Mathew Medium, Fennec Small

We seem to wear the same size:

    • adiPure Small
    • Greyson Medium (which I think is just a little baggier in the midsection comparatively)
    • Travis Mathew Medium
    • Fennec Small

They're my favorite pieces in my wardrobe right now. Just be cognizant of the materials. For example, the darker blue is thicker (73% cotton / 27% recycled polyester jacquard), making it perfect for the office or spring/fall rounds, while the lighter blue is more a performance fabric (55% recycled polyester / 38% polyester / 7% elastane) better suited for heat/humidity .

I’ve thought about that but never gone for it. Do you have pictures of how it turned out? Does it work on all different materials too?

I'll see if I can get a pic up. I only use self collars (Peter Millar, Linksoul, Dunning) and it works great.

These guys - https://www.iliacgolf.com/. Their prices are absurd, but lately they've been having some pretty big (like, 1/2 off) sales. I'm not thrilled by their business practices - they pre-charge your card, provide little in the way of communication, etc. - but the quality is amazing.
