Shafts to promote less spin than Ping 65x

Got a Ping g410+ this summer and have really liked the forgiveness, but the ball flight is fairly spinny and I seem to be losing yards from my previous driver. I'm looking to experiment around during silly season with a couple shafts to try and knock the spin down and possibly help with strike location (clubhead feels like it lags open if I take an aggressive pass and I end up making contact high on the face, and/or toe).

Any recommendations? Been thinking about picking up a Kuro Kage XT, DCXT, or XD to try but not really sure where to begin.

I don't know the ping shaft well. But if lower launch is not a concern the. The speeder evo 2 will definitely knock spin down compared to a lot of other shafts.

Nice, forgot about the Evo 2. That one was pretty hot a few years ago.

If you are contacting high on the face and/or toe then make sure you actually have spin numbers to back up your perception, because those can launch higher but spin MUCH lower. Besides, it is not a good idea to chase shafts to correct spin problems, you should adjust clubhead loft and strike point for that and find a shaft that feels good with your swing and your timing. By all means, feel free to experiment, but if your ball flight is actually too spinny then you should be looking at those first factors before changing shafts.

Only if impact is the same, and one shaft deliver more dynamic loft than the other (to much) you can blame the shaft for spin numbers.

But....that does not mean the shaft you play is right for you. We should choose shafts by Weight, Feel and Dispersion, and if one of them is off, there is a reason for a change.

That means you will have to start by finding what shaft weight thats good for you. Then try options in that weight range.

If impact vary to much, the first we should look at is play length, and if your driver is "standard", we dont have to look further, go shorter as a start....

From a club tech point of view, "high and toe side" (to high and to much toe side), is really opposites.

To light = toe side, and to heavy = to high on the face, and the club cant be to light and too heavy at the same time, so when both is present, and we dont know play length, i suggest you start in that end since this seems to be a general inconsistency issue and then play length is where we start.

Thanks Howard. Shaft length is where I'm looking to start - my old driver was 44.5", and this is 45". Was much more centered contact on the old one. The feel of the Ping also seems a bit looser toward the head. Anything I try will be less than 45" and closer to 44.5" for a start and maybe that will help with the feel as well as strike.

Pull the shaft and tip trim it, then you go both shorter and stiffer

I have been extremely satisfied with a Ping Tour X-Stiff 65 shaft in my G400 LST. Less spin and lower launching than several previous shafts which has consistently given me 280-300 yard drives. Love the combo and the shaft (bought used) was very affordable.
