Check your Callaway Pre-owned Black Friday orders

A message of caution to anyone who took advantage of the 'Buy One Get One Free' Black Friday deal at the Callaway Pre-owned Site

I ordered a like-new '2019 'Toulon Portland and an outlet Atlanta H4, and both delivered were not the items ordered. The Portland did not have the full face milled (appears to be 2018). The Atlanta is face balanced, has a buttweight, and is considerably used for "outlet".

Reaching out to Customer Service (not sure if this an honest error or trying to pull a quick one since it was such a deal) but just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else that took advantage and to check their orders!

Note- I realize their designation of the 2019 Portland may be misleading. I noticed the 2018s did not have a fully milled face, while the 2019 Stroke Labs did. Was there a model between the two?

Did you have custom work (loft, lie, length, grip)? Have you called them? What did they say? They are open until 3PM today.

Yeah, i did have custom work done, and I called today and they said it would ship out today.

My order was spot on. Ordered a like-new Glide 2.0 stealth wedge on Cyber Monday, and it looked like it had never been hit. It got a good work out this morning.

Does every single issue with an online order need to be shared here as a “beware!” thread? Sometimes people should relax and give the retailer an opportunity to fix a mistake, rather than run here and post a psa message before they’ve even had a chance to deal with the mistake.

I avoided CPO all together when I realized the exact same club, in BETTER condition was cheaper by $20-$30 on ebay, even AFTER the 30% savings with the discount code.

Exactly everyone has heard of buyers remorse. How about sellers remorse?

So you had custom work, which always delays shipping by a day or two. That and the fact that it is their busiest time of year means your item will not ship out an hour after you order. I am failing to see what the WARNING is for.

Bud- I'm just putting this out there as my story is not the only one. Just looking out for consumers that may not know what they're looking at.

Is warning a bit strong? Yes. Would "caution" have triggered you less?

I just got a mismatched order from 2nd Swing...so its not CPO

I'm sure most pre-owned sites have this issue.

My biggest issue is CPO's initial response of "you can send them back for a full refund" which would be fine if I wasn't losing out on a great deal because of CPO's error and/or incorrect descriptions

They'll replace if they have it in stock in my experience

But I get what you're saying, one time, I thought I got a sweet deal on some irons with exactly my custom shaft specs, only to receive something totally different

Obviously they had nothing to exchange them for, so had to return them. Didn't lose any money or anything like that, just got my hopes up.

Just want to confirm Callaway was helpful in rectifying the issue as best they could. Although I was unable to get the items I originally ordered, they extended the deal until 'similiar' items were in stock.

One of my matte wedges is rusting. Doubt it affect performance though. 2 for $60 , I can deal with a bit of rust if the grooves are true! Haha

but yeah disappointed that they sent this poor quality control out when I purchased the same exact wedge 6 months before and it has never rusted. Perhaps OP is on to a cheapening effect going on at CPO

No, it's just you . All clubs are susceptible to rust, especially any matte finish wedges.
