that is a bad day lol. A guy at my club played a round at a neighboring country club and his group found a dead gentleman in his yard across the street from the course (city course). Apparently the guy was doing yard work and had a massive heart attack. Needless to say their round was over.

funny that this would come up today. I played a round yesterday and a couple minutes before the course I saw a buch of police cars uner a bridge. from a distance you think maybe a drug bust. as I got closer I could see a body bag . looked up and a truck had flipped over , all busted and mangled , with a door open. looks like the driver was thrown out of the truck down the bank. the highway was busy with traffic , no ambulance looks like it had just happened .

sure are some bad days there . here is a link to the accident that I saw on my way to the course a couple of days ago . sounds like he may have been there a while before anybody found him . Was playing Kingsbarns - guy died in the group ahead of us on the 14th Tee. s*** day for me, about 1,000,000 times worse for his family, as he was on a golf vacation from the US...

I play with some senior golfers from time to time.............

One of them told me about one of his former golf partners. He said his partner was short of breath after putting out. They had teed off on the next hole and charlie was still still in the cart..They said...."Charlie...you're up"....or something to that effect and he was slumped over in his cart dead. This is how I want to go.......

The reason there was no ambulance was that they had probably already showed up and "pronounced" the patient. The police aren't allowed to pronounce. Paramedics don't' "work" traumatic arrests. It's pointless to attempt to resuscitate someone who has lost a pulse as a result of significant trauma (something like less than 1% have a return of pulse). That's a sad story though, when those big rigs flip, anything can happen.

So a good friend and golfing buddy had a heart attack on Thursday of this past week. It was while playing hockey not golf but this is still related. When I visited him in the hospital on Friday he made the comment that if it ever happens during a round that we should prop him up in the cart, put a beer in his hand and finish the round. I laughed pretty hard when he said that and most importantly was happy that he was doing well enough to even make such an awesome comment considering the circumstances. If there is where I go it could be worse :)

No death, but a bunch of yellow jackets flew up my shorts last Saturday and stung me. I learned something new, I am allergic to stings.
