They work great. Much better than a regular towel. I use mine for everything from golf to little league. You have to let them fully dry out or leave them in the freezer though. if you put them back in the container they'll stay wet and mold up. It's nasty.

I think I paid $20 for mine at GS so that may be a good deal.
That said, Home Depot is selling something similar to these marketed towards construction guys. I dunno what they go for or how good they work though..

ive had one since last year, and i love it.
it dries pretty quickly so you just need to keep applying a bit of water once in a while.
no matter how hot it is, the towel somehow stays cool and it's just awesome to have one.
many of my friends bought it after being envious of me a few times. haha.
that price is similar to what i paid.

edit: make sure to wash it thoroughly right after use or it will not smell so great =)

I bought one of those Mission towels that you "snap" to make it cool...Other than being a towel that has water on it, I think its basically a scam.

I might give one of these Frog towels a shot and see how it is.

Based on a vast majority of customer reviews on Amazon, it looks like a scam.

I've really been wanting to try the Frog towel though.

The Mission towels have to be a scam. I bought one this season after taking my frog tog out of the bag and it being moldy. I thought the Mission towel might be a lighter option. It does nothing more than wetting an old t-shirt. I'm getting another frog tog tomorrow.

They're great. I worked a PGA tour superstore tent sale in Myrtle Beach in July with heat indexes of 105+ last year and they gave us 1 to use to keep cool and to show off to customers. Sold hundreds. Stuck them in ice water and used them all 7 days. Highly recommend.

Cooler+ammonia+water+ice+towel. Put a TBSP of ammonia per Quart of water. Add ice and a bath towel. Cooling and refreshing(wakes you up well). Used to used them when playing tournament baseball and softball. Worked like a champ in the GA heat. Cost maybe $0.15 per day to do too.

That said, I love my Frog Toggs rain suit.

I agree the Chilly Pad works great. I've had mine for a few years now. I let my wife use it and she kept it for herself she liked it so much. I had to buy another one for myself . I paid $15 for the second one. I got the first one for a little less.
One of my golfing friends just bought the towels from Home Depot. He is one that likes to save a buck no matter what. They are cheaper than the Chilly Pad. He used the towel last weekend and he wasn't happy with it. It dried out to quick. Probably because it isn't made out of the same stuff as the Chilly Pad. It didn't feel cold like the Chilly Pad does when it was wet either.
The Chilly Pad is a great product and works as advertized.

How are you guys using them...as a neck wrap, under your hat out the back like a guide hat, or just wiping off with them?
[/quote]
I use mine around my neck and to wipe off with. I wear an Aussie Chiller hat for my head. You soak the hat in water and wear the wet hat on your head. It helps to keep you cool as it dries.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
