Have a 2-pw set coming. Can't wait!

I think you'll be very happy with them. When most folks talk about the ideal characteristics in an iron, this one has most of those things if not all of them. From the size to finish to workability and somehow also forgiveness. Simple, clean design. I'm thinking about getting another set to try with the Dynamic Gold Pro shafts (if only more reviews on that shaft would pop up on here).

Had a set of AP2's with KBS Tour Black Nickel shafts built for me last winter after a thorough fitting, but during a mid season slump in 2013, pulled out my S3 Pro's, and see no reason to stop playing them. I also bought some rocketbladez last season (used), but didn't even bother playing a round with them due to there performance on the range vs the S3 Pro's. The S3 Pro's are solid.

Although it is not uncommon for me to buy at least 2 sets of irons per season, the only other set I have owned that felt as good as these were the Macgregor PMB irons -- although they were less forgiving imo. Do yourself a favour and buy a set.

Great set! Played around with the loft a bit too get my set configuration and distances sorted. Would have preferred the longer hosel on those for a lower flight rather than the strong lofts. But liked the sole camber to cut through turf as I have a tendency to come in a bit steep. Didn't play then long enough to see how they fare over time sorry.
Couldn't beat the cobra carbon cb though.

What's with the 54's? I've never tried them, but they look fantastic. The S3 Pro's are my favorite iron so far...so glad that I haven't sold them.Their look & feel @ impact is perfect to me.I want to try another blade/cavity back, but not much out there peaks my interest like the Cobras.

I went to GG today to look around at everything. The 54's do look a little larger in the shorter irons, but they're nice looking irons.I really love the mp4's though.I tried to go GI (JPX825, but they didn't give me any noticeable advantage over my s3 pro's.I have 4-5 months to decide if the mp4's can outperform the cobras.I'm just not sure if I like the chrome finish on the Mizuno's though.

Perfect grind for me. I love how the shorter heel to toe measurement helps frame the ball at address, at the same time I also like the slightly wider sole, because I like a little more relief down there versus some other blade irons. Feel at impact is wonderful, definite JDM quality (actually better than many JDM). It's not "electric" like Miura, just that wonderful merging of club face where it's impossible to tell the two are not one. Ball flight for me is lower and distance is about half a club short vs my x-forged, but I owe that more to the heavier stock DGS300 shafts currently in there. All in all maybe my favorite combo of grind vs forged quality ever.

I regretted not buying these when they first came out but a few days ago I stumbled across a set advertised as new condition, 4-6 cb 7-PW mb, project x 6.0 (non flighted) with a clearence price of £299!

I contacted the seller for confirmation that they had never been hit and they confirmed 'still in wrappers'! Ordered them on the spot and received today. Sweet baby Jesus, they are just stunning, fit my eye perfectly. Won't get to hit them until the weekend but I'm hesitant to anyway, don't want to tarnish them!

Anyone still gaming these? if so, how are they holding up?
