(NO POLITICS) Nike Footwear for 2018

Recommended Posts

On the LCV2 thread there were a couple guys that said they didn't get a reservation, so I think it was kind of a lottery just for the chance to buy them.

That's how every reservation works. For any shoe, they reserve on the app.

But then they are generally widely released a few days later, right? I've had a few shoes "reserved" for me that I don't recall being anything special and being widely released a few days later.

For example a Jordan shoe drops on Saturday, a vapormax coming out Thursday, a reserve will come Tuesday. The reserve will come out two days before....

Usually nothing too special. Just general release shoes. Once in a while you get something “limited”, but usually the case it’s just shoes that aren’t going to be a hassle come release day.

One major release thats not in the catalog. Taking the spot of the Zoom 90s. I think alot of people are gonna love.

Tell us more.......

Um...theyre literally taking the spot of the Zoom 90s. As in, they will still have Zoom 90 soles. Thats all for now.

P.S. if youre good at instagram you can find a sneek peek. I just dont want to be the one who posts them yet.

Zoom 90s soles with Fi Premiere uppers and i'd be a happy man. Though my 3 pairs of Fi Premieres are still in ridiculously good shape so it's actually doubtful i'll be buying anything other than the Roshes unless it's something that really blows me away.

My FI Premiere's that Ive had for 6 months are basically done. The rubber "spikes" have worn down to a nub.

Mine lasted about 5 round before they started coming apart under my right big toe. Emailed Nike and they said nothing they could do because I bought them from a private seller on Ebay. Gonna sell my other pair before I try them...as well as my other unworn Nike gear. Looking at other brands now.

Over the past few years, this has been my experience with virtually all the major companies. Buy from an authorized retailer and you’re good...buy from outside that and they don’t feel obligated to help.

Yeah you're probably right....I was still pretty surprised though. If I had got a season out of them I would been cool with it. They started coming apart after 3 and done by 5 rounds in. Sent the Nike CS reps pics of my other 20+ pairs of Nikes between my girlfriend and I, and my 8 pairs of Nike golf shoes. Same response....nothing we can do. Done with Nike from now on. I think they make a lot of good products but I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Wow, That's a shame. I've never actually had golf shoes from Nike fall apart.

Just curious from those that experienced issues. Did you have a rotation of shoes or those were the only ones? Also, did you walk each round? I would be pretty PO'd especially only using some of these shoes 5/6 rounds.

I've been wearing Nike golf shoes for probably close to 20 years. In that time, I've probably had 3 pair get bad enough that I contacted Nike. All of them because of the waterproofing. Most recently my LCVs from earlier this year started to come apart and my feet started to get wet. Contacted Nike and received a full refund plus a 15% off code to re-purchase them. I've always been extremely happy with their customer service. That said, I've only purchased 1 of those pairs from somewhere other than Nike or an authorized retailer. And if those $20 pair of AM 90s fall apart, I'll still feel like I got my monies worth.

So is this 2018 offerings list confirmation we are not going to see an off cycle TW18?

There's been zero talk of a TW 18 on these threads. :/

I'd personally love to see a TW offering with the lcv sole. But I know it's just wishful dreaming.

I bet we see a TW18 of some variety after TW makes his debut this year. Seems like it'd make much more sense to release them when there is some hype behind him instead of releasing him without being able to market him as wearing them. In all of the recent photos/videos of him, he's been wearing TW71s instead of the TW17s. It was mentioned that Nike may be moving to a quarterly release - if that's the case, I could definitely see a Q2 release for the TW line (clothes and shoes).

Makes sense to see if they use his comeback (assuming there is one) to promote the line. I too have noticed he's gone away from the 17 and wearing the 71's exclusively. I still would love to see the AIT sole on an upper like the 71's.

I keep a rotation of shoes, but mostly wear my white LC4. In the past, I've had a couple of shoes that I had to send back for waterproofing issues and maybe 1 pair out of 30 that I had an issue with on durability. I will say that I'm not horribly rough on shoes though. It helps that I don't get to play as much as many on here. Maybe 70 rounds a year plus range time. I tend to put more in the closet for safe keeping after getting new shoes than I ever tend to completely wear out.

70 Rounds!? Wow, I'm lucky to get 30-40. No wonder your shoes are worn. :) But man, i'm jealous you get to go out that much. I have to move out of NYC..

Hmm... Just get a few more shoes in rotation and you won't have those problems anymore. haha. like another 15 pairs.

I'm currently at 36 18 hole rounds for the year. Wish I had time for more golf, but this time of year especially there's just not enough daylight.

whats the sizing like on the zoom 90's? I wear a 10.5 in Nike running shoes, but wear the FI Premiere's in 9.5. No stores around me carry them so I cant try them on first. Thanks.

I wear a 9.5 in the Pegasus line. I'm a 10 in the LC4 and the Zoom 90.

I would say he biggest factor in Zoom 90 fit is the width of your foot, if u have a wide foot, size up from normal Nike running shoe size

So your nike golfs are bigger than your running? Why is sizing is so all over the place? My FI Premieres are a full size SMALLER than my nike running shoes. Now im more lost than before.

I have a high instep so it takes forever to try to get my Zoom 90's on. I should have gone a half size up because after walking around them for a while it kind of digs into my instep.

I have pretty narrow feet. I usually wear a 14 for any athletic shoes from Nike, 13 for casual. I ended up with size 13 zooms, and while the fit is good in the foot, the ankle opening is still crazy loose. I love the shoe, but I think it looks a little goofy on me and is not a great shoe for narrow feet/skinny ankles.

Sorry to make it worse. A few years ago I was a 9.5 in every Nike shoe. Then things started to change. I had to move to a 10 with the LC3. It all depends on the soles “last.” Current line: 10 in the TW71, LCV (and I assume the LCV2), Zoom 90

9.5 in the Explorer and Lunar Command 2.

It makes it hard to know what to order from my rep. All of his samples are 9s.
