Any long term feedback out there ?

 

From my swats in a simulator they are pretty solid. Dead straight as well in that stepless 105 shaft

 

They are on blowout pricing now at local retailers ... $700 CDN for 4-GW and I've sold a few things ... hmmmm

 

And CPO has some good deals as well on their anniversary sale for somewhat used sets

 

Maybe I need to sell my t-mb set and x-proto blades before making this move

They are very solid clubs, my best friend plays them while I’ve decided to stay with the previous XR-Pro.

I have hit them from time to time on occasion still wondering if I want to make the change. Personally they would be a sideways move for me but if I did not have the XR-Pros, I’d grab the 1st set close to my spec.

The only issue for me is that the dark finish has started showing some signs of wear & will actually look older than my XR-Pros soon.

Do a search, there are multiple threads on here. Also, that's getting near twice what you should pay for them (even with the exchange rate) at your retailer.

 

I had a brand new set from CPO for $349 a while back.

Callaway Preowned has like new 5-PW for 409. Their like new tends to be exactly that if not new in plastic.

Just curious what you like about them over your tmb's? I have a full set of tmb's and my best friend has the steelhead pro irons in black. They look good but I still prefer my tmb's.

They are really nice irons, though i never understood why they made them.....pretty much exactly the same as the regular steelheads but with less offset. When i ordered a 3 iron i just got the regular ones.

 

They put a nice thwack on the ball , launch really high for a club that isn't as fat as some of the other stuff out there, and go deeeeeeeeepppp.

 

I actually considered trading in my Apex Pros for a set of Steelheads when i had my baby. Though for some reason my ballstriking has gotten better

Steelheads, regular and pro both, are SOOOOO forgiving. Rogue probably makes a better sound, but it isn’t as forgiving or long.

 

They are as automatic as irons get.

T-mb are not great in short irons ... ymmv

 

Looking for longer and higher than my s55's, more forgiveness a bonus

 

I think I may have found a perfect shaft for the i500 six iron ... project x hb6 7.0 97g ... 6th shaft attempt

 

Managed to win a men's night w 73 tonight ... but got away w some dodgy iron strikes

 

The Cally apex 16 pro irons ... with graphite ... also have my attention on CPO ..they are also very long and forgiving
