Got the KBS TGI today, very excited. Bought a 718 AP1 to pair the KBS TGI, just waiting for the AP1 to arrive then will begin the build.

Yes it was a full set of shaft (3-pw) 8 totals.

I order the AP1 and was going to install the TGI on AP1, but got excited and did not wait for the AP1 to arrive and decided to install the TGI on my P790 backup set.

 

Finally got a chance to play the TGI 100 today, did not play or hold a club for a month and so due to death in the family.

 

Anyway we play early today and did not get a chance to hit it in the range. First swing on the 3 iron, it was straight and notice the high trajectory compare to Modus Tour 105 stiff I have in my backup set.

 

It felt very weird, it felt stout, i could not decide if i was hitting a steel or graphite and did not notice if the TGI is light or heavy. maybe because haven't play and swing a club for a while.

 

As the round progress and start hitting balls it felt and I notice the stiffness on the tip (specially the mid and short irons). it launch high for me (not towering), and i think it spin high for me too, saw a couple of PW shot that back spin and mid/long iron shots that just bite on the green.

 

I don't feel that i gained distance or gained/lost dispersion but I was surprise how soft the ball lands and the accuracy i thought and expect to lose dispersion but it exceeded my expectation.

 

also, noteworthy is the feedback on misses and chunky swings, it help dampen harsh vibrations very well, i think all graphite does.

 

more to come, i think KBS is on to something here, for now I have nothing negative to say about KBS TGI if anything I was expecting a distance gained but I need more rounds and range time with TGI.

I have the 100 in a 790 3i also (mine is hardstepped once) and get the same towering flight that lands soft. I was hoping for a more penetrating flight since it's a tee club for me and it's hardstepped. I can't tell if it's the head or shaft as I have the 95 in a UDI 3 and don't get the same height. I have a few other heads to try them with so the jury is still out.

Bump here... I'm thinking about putting these in my J15 CB's. It would be great to hear from any of you out there. What's your LTR?
