went in to get my father in-law came out with a 5wood epic flash SZ. Had my eye on set of ap2 came out with Srixon 745's to this date cannot fault them love the v sole.

Went to buy a 919 or mmc iron set. Fitted into 785s. Couldn't have a made a bad choice but the 785s feel so good.

Interesting topic. Went to a fitting last summer after narrowing things down to G400 and F8. Settled on G400LST head and just had to dial in the shaft. The fitter thought the HZRDUS yellow would be a good fit for me but he didn’t have it in Pings adaptor. Tried it in an M4 head. 3 swings and it was settled. Ordered M4 with HZRDUS yellow.

I've considered myself a PING guy for many years - and went to a fitting expecting to get fit for PING G410 or i210 irons. Very surprised to learn the Apex irons were the clear winner for me.

Couples years ago I took my SLDR into PGAS wanting an M2. Left an hour later with my SLDR. And that was after trying everything they had available in 2017.

Walked in to buy a CLK 2H. Ended up leaving with a G410 2H. Just felt a bit more comfortable at address. Maybe the turbulators remind me of my G400Max (which I love).

Wanted the PING IE1 irons when they came out, but during testing, I ended up liking the Cobra Fly Z+ Forged even more. This was a continual test over the entire summer when they came out, and the Fly Z+ Forged are still in the bag...at least until I get the Srixon 785s later this year.

Went in and attentive on the Mizuno 18 MMC, ended up hitting the SC and MB; the MB was the easiest to hit and gave me optimal launch numbers.

 

The toe weight tungsten and fat sole didn’t work for me.

 

I want surprised that the MB although smaller than the SC, was easier to hit and just matched my swing.

 

Learned that there is a right size to iron heads and shaft fitting.
