Playing off 5.7, not yet shot level par off the tips. Hit 73 last year (par 72) and 73 twice the year before. All times having a putt for it on 18. Im doing it this year - its not an dream or a fantasy or anything like that, it is a FACT, it will be happening this year. We started back early after the winter break and im currently shooting steady 75 to 77's, and working hard on my short game as that will be the final bit needed to get it done.

Hey Pappa! Nice idea.

 

I've been playing both last year's and this year's RZN Black and love those things. Just got 4 dozen ProV1X's and am kind of disappointed. LOL.

 

I'm mostly working right now on my putting. I don't want to miss within 5 feet. I'm also trying to stay more consistent and keep my scores under 80 and realistically no higher than 82 or 83. In general I just want to tidy up everything and work on keeping going lower and lower every few weeks because I'm practicing the right weakness. I'd like to get my index under 5 by the end of the season and perform well in a few competitive events I will play later in the year.

dude your lady can flat out play hahaha. I had such a good time on that trip. Great to play with you, shirley, and the rest of the guys who came out. Intimidating as i was by far the worst out there haha, but it was a great time. Let me know if you guys are in the states again and down this way.

My goal this year is to drop 4 strokes off my index.. I'm starting up my 4th full season and have been able to drop 6-7 strokes off my index per summer thus far. I don't see that happening again this year as all it required in previous years was: stop slicing, get better at misc short game etc.. but I think 4 is do-able. My main plan for this is better par 4 scoring. Looking at my scorecards, that's where the big numbers have come in for me. I can't recall the last time, if ever, that I laid up on a par 4 and went for an up and down par save. My short game is good enough, so I don't really know why I don't do it.

 

I will also practice putting more intensively for the first season. Putting was the first thing that came relatively easy to me, and a terrible putting day would reach three-three putts. It's gotten me by and has certainly saved my game, but it's time to start making more 12-15 ft putts that I stare at for par saves.
