Phoenix Matchplay Tournament

SO having to play Blake in the losers bracket I had an interesting choice whether to use 60% of handicap differential or pick course and tee box. In the end I decided 4 strokes wasn't going to make a lick of difference if I had to play him off the tips at Papago, especially given his massive distance advantage over me.

So next Tuesday at 6:22 you can all come out and watch us play from the red tees at aguila. I am seriously considering wearing a skirt.

Nice playing by Tyler today, I shot +3 and lost 4&3. He won the first 4 in a row, then I got it to where he was only 2 up, but that was as close as it got. First time playing match play, cool experience and I'm glad I didn't get totally blown out by the way I started the first 4 holes.

Regardless, I was just happy to play golf with friends.

I had a blast... I was actually happy you made a good putt on 8 and eagle on 10 to get it to 2. It definitely woke me up realizing one bad swing and we'd be separated by a single point. Good times!

We actually saw a big a** king snake at aguila on the way to the 16th tee

It was my first time playing with anyone from here and everyone was great. Best part about the putt at 15 was the humble "aww shucks" grin. Needed more fist pump!

Another set of eyes from the brush would've definitely been a plus for me. I wasn't nearly on the level of these guys but still had a good time. I learned a lot from just watching their routines and tendencies.

All in all - 8/10: Would hack with them again. haha

Blake- is it possible to update the bracket and delete the players who have bailed? By the looks of it, I think Im waiting on multiple matches to take place, and maybe even had a bye?

Im just looking ahead and wondering who/what is next and how many players are actually playing.

Patrick and I got our 2nd round in today. Absolutely tipped out due to the Publinks this weekend - back boxes. Fast greens!!

While I kept it close...it wasn't enough. HA!

I shot a 77 and lost 8 & 7 to a fine 68 by Patrick...shoulda been a 65 as he wobbled 3 birdie putts. Plus we had to play 15 into a 15 mph wind...601 turned into 650! We both missed our par putts.

A great bit of fun though! I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

[/quote]I was being a wise-a**. 68 is a number I haven't even thought of since my high school days, great playing by both you guys! 77 in today's wind on that course setup is nothing to sneeze at.

Blake and I played this morning...total time for 18 holes was 2:30.

I lost 6 and 5, after he steamrolled me from hole 8 through 13. He was one up on the 8th tee and dormi by hole 14.

Very well played by Blake and a hell of a lot of fun.

Had a blast this morning! Luckily I drove the ball off the tee pretty well and was able to take advantage .. I feel like it could have gone the complete opposite if I just missed a few tee shots. Ryan is always fun to play with. Whenever you want to play again I'm in.
