Not sure if this has already been brought up but weren't these the clubs Rory/Tiger were talking about when they did their challenge for Back9 or whatever? Can't remember if it was Tiger or Rory saying they hit them further than their regular blades...

Maybe I'm wrong but I can see him hitting these further if they have that forgiveness.

This makes no sense. What would you be custom ordering if they don't release new options. Every current iron is on closeout and have little or no heads available for customization.

Forgive me for being skeptical, but considering you are trying to sell a set on the BST, I doubt your information is accurate. Some fairly connected posters have already stated that they are releasing their next lines on Monday and they aren't trying to sell a set of the MM Proto's.

Nike has been saying "there's always better" while posting pictures of their blades. So yeah, your comments don't sound correct. Maybe they will announce a custom service, but there's little doubt that a new iron is coming. Tiger wouldn't come around to announce a custom service. No chance,

Yes and yes.

Also, the fact that Rory and Tiger were cited in all of the releases for the MMProtos as being an integral part of the development and they are part of all the Monday happenings seems like marketing/PR people doing their jobs correctly. I'm not (and I don't think others are either) saying that there won't be some new service available or other non-equipment related news on Monday, but it seems misguided to think that 8/18/14 will be a day without any news on Nike irons.

Remember that one time that Ford released candid shots of different parts of the car ahead of a car show and then showed up with a toaster? Yeah.. me neither.

If you would pay attention to the thread(prior to your BST ad), you would see that set 17 is currently at my house. If I can get set 23 or 14, I would. I don't care what they release. While I think they are announcing their new lines on Monday, I don't think they are going to be the MM Proto and I don't think for a second it would be the same thing the Oven just offered. I understand you trying to keep people from passing on yours, you have one hell of a rare set of irons in your hand right now. If they are 23 or 14, they could be mine, but you choose not to tell the number(for some very strange reason). That is the craziest thing. You don't want to disclose the number of your set. You worried that the actual owner will chime in?

The whole point of the MMProto release was to gauge how many people would be interested in a mass produced version, pretty easy to track when everyone enters their phone number. It's not like these heads are handmade at The Oven, but rather forged in their factory with the rest of their clubs. The only difference is you paid to have them assembled at The Oven. Do you seriously think they would spend millions on R&D and only produce 40 sets? Technically whenever new products are put on tour to be tested they are all prototypes and magically they appear in stores as the exact same club. Oh yea and my source confirmed yesterday that they "may have heard talk about a set being released Monday". Good luck with your sale!

Glad to see people using their sets. Looking forward to details on new releases come Monday, not that I'm necessarily interested but I'm curious what the reveal will be.

In other news, FedEx sucks. I've had countless problems with packages delivered (and not delivered) by them. Nike typically uses UPS, but that is from their large distribution center in TN.

Think about the price they offered the sets for and that it included a really cool buyer's experience. If it were truly a only 40 ever made, they wouldn't sell them for $1500. And the mm proto is already in most of the nike athletes bags which means this is what they want advertised to the public. The tour guys aren't going to play an mm proto and then Nike offers a different club/name to the public...at least In these "blades". These ARE the new blades and the lucky 40 paid for an "experience" which is completely worth the price IMO....considering the upgrades at no cost... Congrats!

Come Monday, there might be more custom options but they won't be hand assembled from the oven and will not have "the oven" stamp. My assumption is other than that, there will he no other differences.
