Looks like the stamping was done by Nike? They offer stamped options on their clubs for quite some time now.

Ok guys, just got home. Was only able to play 18 holes today instead of the 27 I was hoping for but I think I can say that these are staying in the bag. Plenty forgiving for me. At first glance they can be alittle intimidating but after a few swing they performed better then I expected. I ordered them with pxi 6.0 with full intention of reshafting them with aerotechs but I think I will leave well enough alone.
I got a very nice mid-mid/high piercing ball flight with this set up. I had no problem hitting the long irons which was a nice surprise despite their size. I hit some 3/4 knock down shots with the short irons and it was a breeze. Very responsive to what you want to do with the ball. The feel is a very nice crisp but soft feel and not the marshmallow soft feel one might expect.

My buddy that I played with pretty much agreed that these were easier to hit then he expected. He nutted a few 6i's and the grin on his face said it all.
I really hope Nike comes out with a retail set of these for everyone to try, these are seriously good.

i'm all in with nike now, method mod putter with superstroke 2.0 grip, vr forged wedges 1* flat, 0.25" short kbs tour stiff shafts with stamped initials, mmproto with c taper s flex, covert 2.0 driver with motore speeder, covert tour 2.0 fairways.

 

 

 

 

 

where did you get your stamping done on your wedges?

 

these were custom ordered from the club and shipped straight to my door. nike offers stamping on their wedges, just not on the putters and no laser engraving on the woods

i think it was an extra 10 bucks for the stamping and paint fill. not sure i believe i paid 140 each incuding the kbs shaft upgrade, grip upgrade, stamping, paint fill, custom lie angle, shipping and tax.

Any recommendations from you guys on a mid to high trajectory shaft for my MMProtos, or whatever the new name will be. Need something in stiff. I have a +3.2 Hdcp. Honestly I've always played stock shafts and I currently have the 2012 Pro Combos. I'm dying to get these new blades. Thx to everyone for the great pics and reviews.

I usually hit a low ball. I play the x-100 tour issues...I have no problem with height in these.

Forgive me for being skeptical, but considering you are trying to sell a set on the BST, I doubt your information is accurate. Some fairly connected posters have already stated that they are releasing their next lines on Monday and they aren't trying to sell a set of the MM Proto's.

Really? You think that Nike is going to only release 40 of these sets? Blades have been discontinued, we've seen the undercut version, this is clearly Nike's next full line of clubs. Because you paid $1500 to get an early release and now realize that you WON'T be doubling your money, your feelings are hurt. Just use it as a learning experience, and remember that people don't like to be gouged.

[/quote] i got set 38 of 40. nike will be releasing these irons later this year and pro combo like version with rzn insert in cavity. i did the math if you get the most expensive options when these blades come out it comes out to $1600 ish. i was lucky to get 1 of the 40 sets. im not sure if it will say mm proto in the new line but even if it does, getting this limited set of irons was awesome. actually total came out close to $1700 for me because it was overnighted to me and i live in hawaii. it costs close to $100 for overnight to hawaii.

Yep those are mine. High price tag, because a part of me doesn't want to sell them. I don't know why you wanted to bring that up??? I tried them and compared them to my AP2s. As much as I was wanting to put them in the bag I knew they at the moment would not make me a better player. When I got a 220 yard shot and want to pull a 4iron I want to have complete trust that I can pull it off. Not look down at it and say damn these are small. If they announce they are releasing a progressive set that has the blades in 8 iron down I'd buy another set. Don't get me wrong this is a lovely set, beautiful setup and anyone who knows me knows that I am Nike all the way. But I play what is going bring out the best in my golf game and my misses with the long irons...well they are big misses compared to my AP2s. I can hit great shots, I just don't want my bad shots to be that bad. I need to improve.

correct yourself, nike already released 40 sets of these and its over... deal with it...

you seem to think it was a "bad investment" and i laugh at you because $1500 with the upgrade/custom charges is the going price for a set of ANY new premium MB iron set... your failure is thinking i did this because i need or want the money because at the end of the day i have something that you will NEVER have...
