Boy, they just don't look anything like Miura's other than the stamping.

They kinda remind me of the Yonex NanoV (ryo's) a little bit...actuall look a bit more forgiving. Chip Usher (usher golf in savannah ga) is taking orders I believe. I am not a Miura fan but I def like the look of these....

They're very similar to a number of Miura Giken models that have been around for years. They blend very well with their new muscleback, the MB001.

First thought was they were pretty similar to the TM 300's...which isnt really a bad thing.

There was a comment in another Miura thread about TM 300s being forged for Staff players by Miura. No idea about the accuracy but your comment reminded me about it.

I had a hit of these about 6 weeks ago whilst having a custom fit/walkthrough of the bag at Precision Golf here in the UK.

The honest answer is I can't get them out of my head so I'm going back to Precision in 2 weeks to get fitted for a set :lock: They got me to try the CB57's to simulate more weight in the heads as they felt my existing irons were a touch too light.

I have a fast swing speed (averaging 93 mph on a 6 iron) and because of my swing being very steep I was averaging around 176 with my 6 iron (Ping G15's) but the guys at Precision said I should be closer to 190 based on swing speed. They then put the 57 in my hands and hey presto. Average 6 iron suddenly jumps to 188 yards average with much better spin rates even with zero customisation just hitting the stock 6 iron they had made up with an extra stiff project X 6.5 shaft if I recall correctly.

The dispersion rate on them was also very tight so suspect when I go there in a few weeks I'll end up with something similar.

The thing that will get you is that feel. Whilst you do get it occasionally with cast clubs, that ball melting into the club face is addictive....

Damn that really is some bad luck.
I'd sell them as well. Looking at those sitting in the corner wouldn't help my recovery at all...

Get well Hifade!

I hit these today. Very sweet. I am building a combo set CB57 3-5 iron and MB01 6-P. I cant wait. The MB01 were so easy to hit. Both were butta.

Any chance you could give us some more feedback on these? How playable were the 57's? How was turf interaction compared with the MB's?

The MB-001 were stellar no matter what the turf condition. I tend to pick the ball a little, but I took a thin divot with both the CB57 and the MB-001. It was much easier to work the ball with the MB-001. I am not sure why I even went with the combo set. I really think I could have hit the MB-001 long irons without any issue. I did not notice a big difference with how the MB-001 or the CB-57 interacted with the turf. Also, I tested the MB-001 as well as the tournament blade. I thought the MB-001 was much more forgiving, if a blade can be forgiving. I hit all the clubs either with Aerotech or Royal Precision shafts. I kinda liked the Royal Precision shafts better. With neither the MB-001 or the tournament blades did I get the dreaded wringing in the hands on any missed shots. These are beautifully built clubs. I should have them in a couple of weeks. Once I have the clubs, I will include much more detailed info and pics.

Turf interaction has more to do with angle of attack. However, I do notice that the leading edge grind allows me to trap the ball a bit easier on various lies vs my previous cb501's. The best stock sole grind on any iron I've come across has to be the mp 64 though. Considering it is the Luke Donald grind, no need to argue.

Hit these, very nice, Japan KJ version seems even better.
[/quote]KJ is the 501. It's the same head as regular 501 just a set built to "his" specs. And there all Japan, just the branding is different depending on which consumer market.
