Only thing a bit tempting to toss back in would be some mp4s, and that's mostly for vanity / aesthetic reasons

Banging them against the 5s , def prefer the 4s

Great thread! dusting off my SF 2.0 LCG later this week thanks to you. Just an old dirty 70x rip alpha in there but plenty of very fond memories with that setup. Don't really want to go all blanco but feel like I'm leaving some yards on the table with the Titleist...

Very intrigued by the Tour Blue in the M1. I second your description of the m9003 having hit a version from a few years ago.

Sftp LCG get any run time lately

Yes! If that is the deep face model, I have the same head in the 16.5* loft. I'm having it shafted today.

Correct DF model

Quarterly shaft and set up review

Baseline

All around 44.5 to 44-7/8 length

Tour issue Sftp LCG w / speeder vc 8.1x 172 mph ball speed @ 2200 - with a + 4 aoa

M1 9.5 off the rack head - 5g hot melt

Shafts

Tested : ad di , pro 83 ts X , ahina 80x ion , speeder vc 8.1x

Ad di - cpm 280 and the speeder 8.1x 290 cpm came out on top

Was bagging the ad di combo , but switching to the speeder vc 8.1 , got 169-170 mph bs , need to improve my smash factor some a bit

I'd bag that lcg but the mis hits are more punishing than the m1 more so on the spin side , for an oldie it's still a hell of a club knocking 172 mph bs and some decent low spin #

When are you going to test the Tensei?

My wife says I'm at the "scratch" product purchasing limit for this week :-)

Going to drop the p95x in the m2 DF for starters

Not a club engineer so my technique is in all likelihood not best practices , used calibers

Both Tour Issue m1 TS vs M2 deep faced

All measurements inches

M2 deep faced

1-3/8 face height

3-1/8 width of face

3-1/8 bottom of face to back of club

M1 TS - volume appears to be similar to retail

1-3/8 face height

3-5/8 width of face

3-3/16 bottom of the face to back of club

M2 heads are extremely light , just like the abtp head needed 10g hot melt to get to d4 @ 43

While the face height on the m1 TS is similar at the apex on the face if you look, the TS thins out some across the face esp on the bottom , M2 100% reminds me of a 906f2 foot print. I'd venture to say the volume of the m1 is close but the M2 , with the M2 is slightly smaller

M1 TS to me looks like a m1 retail 3w, have to hit each against each other shaft to shaft - ad di 9x

* on course use of the m1 TS has been phenomenal, def low spin ,

M2 haven't hit the club yet

Prior to any comparison of he m2 vs m1 driver heads ***it takes 29-30 grams to move the cg even a little**** so the manipulation of the weights only affected the feel for me an how I brought the club head into the ball

Shaft tested speeder vc 8.1x @ 44.5" , tested the M2 with a stock shaft as well , both heads labeled 9.5 not measured

Trackman used with tmag ball , best ss where 115 - 116

M1 -

Weight configuration, std 8g front center , 6 back in the middle, 2nd - 2g in the front center back weight forward 6g - 3rd no front weight 6gram in the back position (Fo - M2)

***5 g hot melt in the toe***

All 3 weight combos had around 1900 to 2300 spin rates , best was the no weight in the front bs wise with about 2-3* + aoa

As I got lighter , aoa got more toward a negative aoa, heavier clubs work better with my swing, the heavier, more positive aka and less spin I got , with a heavy set up, saw some less than 1900 numbers + 4 aoa , too much spin Réduction

M2 tested both speeder vc 8.1x and stock 65 g stiff

Spin about 200 - 400 higher than the m1, felt great , touch more forgiving

Bs very similar to the m1 , 170s , again I think less of a drop off on mis hits but the spin was higher on those

Less consistent, head was too light, needs to be hot melted

What was interesting and very anti wrx, produced some similar numbers as the m1 speeder comb as a stock M2 off the rack head and shaft , speeder 65s pro, but the misses where huge with the stock set up

Both great heads , positive aoa with the M2 is a killer big dog

Final set up for now is an m1 6gr back weight speeder vc 8.1x

Though I'd like to try a tour issue M2 with a speeder 7.2 tour spec

Interesting experiment you ran there. I agree on the positive AoA effects, after some swing changes last year that shallowed out my swing, I've been able to use a Fly Z (ie. not a low spin head) effectively and getting good distance and dispersion. Really reduced the occurrence of short, high cuts.

Haven't let me down yet. Don't know how I just found this, sweet bag. What's the deal with the cracked M1?

Surprised the M1 and M2 DF fairways were both at 1-3/8 face height, the M2 face just looks taller from the pics. How is the testing going with them?

That was just to the apex height on both faces , the ave height on the M2 is I think a bit taller

M1 flies a touch lower than the M2 both 90+ shafts , killer 3w either or imop

Back to trying some Flat Irons, and I am not talking about outside fo Boulder Co.

2i = 56*

3 = 57

4= 58

5 = 59

6 = 60

7 = 60.5

8= 61

9 = 61.5

pw - 60* = 62

Upright, swing feels more simplistic , but the flatter with my additional length on the irons, my finish and address positions feel better, hands not completely extended at address

Hitting some balls in regular temputures , and a hairline crack showed up in the paint on the crown, like a child loosing his/her toy, just about adult tears :-) away to the golf shop I went, and TMag shipping a replacement
