Have you always played those shafts in wedges? I play 130x in my mp4s also and just standard vokey shafts in my sm6s.. thinking of switching to something stiffer but don’t really want to lose any spin etc. (or waste my money lol)

 

Out of all the wedge shafts I have had, I like the C Taper X better than other S400 x100 , s200

 

Could possibly be I play the wedges +1 with E0-2 SW , tha I am sure is reducing the CPM on flex a touch.

Wedge Works 60* M 10 bounce is fantastic on full and half shots , have the benefit of the bounce but if you have to lay it open and sky it, club head design still allows that shot. **the brushed finish is awesome compared to retail**

 

Next wedge somewhat of an experiement

Stock Vokey 52* 8 Bouce F Grind , bent to 54* - This club Ill use for full shots more so than the other wedge.

 

- Per vokey’s site last sm5 vs the sm6 no change on the design , but the 46 to 52* wedges in the SM6 have lower CG to decrease flight, so why not take advantage of a design change

 

- Less off set bent 2* Weak

- More loft more bounce 8 to 10

- I play my wedges about 1.25 over 35” , the 52 head is 2 swing weights lighter so when lengthened Sw isn’t out of control.

Counter balance , a bit softer Butt , IMOP offered a touch better launch

 

I didn’t believe the hype on these , but after expirementing some, the tensi is a real deal

 

I would say they do play slightly soft to flex; I tipped the White fairway and Tensi about +.5 extra vs the Fujis and Graphite Designs

 

Installed the Orange in the driver and the D+ 90 TX in , WOW , very very anti left on both

Installed into a Tour Issue Deep face 16” M2 , 14.2 * measured loft

 

First impression, probably not the best trackman session , tested the club after a heavy lifting session of legs and back, pushing 40 I’m certainly not 21 any more and not a good idea

 

My best with a 3w is around 110ish (115 driver ) but only mustered up 107 for this session

 

With 107 thoughts on performance

 

best Carry vs best carry of a previous set up (This Head with AD DI 9x tipped 2”)

 

Track Man

Ad di Launched about 2 higher , carry with the AD DI on most shots where 270 with best shots going 281 BS. Low 160’s

- spin 3000 ish 2800 to 3500 depending on shot played - different session , not weight training prior

 

D+ 90TX , launch consistency around 9.5 to 10.0* , Carry around 260 to 270 , roll out was a more due to spin

Spin mid 2500 never broke 3000 bs 158 to 160ih , also the misses where less severe than the ADDI

 

While I’m not a HUGE fan of the spin being THAT low with the 3w, not really wanteing it Roll out like it is BUT the head with this shaft combo is 100% ANTI left, even throwing the club from the top its thought to get it moving left

 

Losing about 10yds carry, but gaining NO miss left which I might try to live with , but the run out could be significant, I’m really not trying to construct a distance club

 

Anyone have any suggestions of a thought higher launching shaft, that is as ANTI left as this D+90TX , I might need a 15.7* head vs the current head @ 14.2 , coupled the 90TX shaft with a higher lofted head might be the ticket

 

NOTE Swing weight is a bit high as D6 43” , static weight is down @ 358* D+ 90TX vs 362 (ADDI)

 

Very interesting club , I think it CPM at 280 , my 2 iron is 290 ss around 105

Yeah it is pretty quick. I think that the last time i was fit for irons I was spinning DGx100 in the 7i about 7,700 RPM's. How much can I expect spin to drop?

500 or so , what I noticed the most was about 5 -8 yds apex height

Working on dropping “20”

 

3w is a load but; what’s interesting the static weight is a about 5 grams lighter than ad di 9x or P95x , launch and spin is lower , it’s def a sledge , VERY straight - cpm 280

 

Def with lower than the other two shafts I would hang on ad di or 95 or off how you want to loook at it , this 3w build , d+90tx I can just unload on - 3w tour head is 14.2 would like to get about another degree of loft , I’m looking for around a 15.5 would be perfect with this shaft

 

Curious to how a tensi blue 90tx would compare to this shaft

 

Note many moons ago you recommended tensi , you where right , have an orange in the driver and I’m enjoying it immensely
