Well Les, you'll be happy to know I ordered the Pro today with the D+ 60X tipped 1/2", at a new playing length for me of 44.75". Hopefully arrives shortly for a shootout with the 915 D3 9.5 Rogue 125MSI 60TX tipped 1/2", but apparently now it's delayed another two weeks. Oh well Titleist what's another 2 weeks when it's been 2 months already...

I am sure this has already been discussed, but, has somebody hit any of the Vapor drivers or even Covert stuff with Fujikura Motore Speeder Tour Spec Vc 6.2?

Saw one on eBay for a good price. Want to hear a little about them before getting it.

just an 8.2 in the flex 3 wood and was smashing it... is my favourite shaft ever for a 3 wood though...

So back from my first outing with the D+ 70g and vapor pro.

The wind was so brutal that it was hard to get a full picture of performance (I nailed one 5 iron that will have been lucky to go 100 yards).

Club felt really solid and I liked the extra weight with the heavier shaft.

Had a couple of excellent drives that were long (for me) and straight but also a couple that felt good but ended up bizarrely short (though that could have been the wind).

It was also very straight. I look forward to getting it out when the wind is a little less extreme.

Dam... Glad it went well... What is the weight of shaft that you are used to???

How were the strikes on the short ones???

I played 6 holes on my inland course... Wind was 25mph and really warm at 14 degrees Celsius... Hit four drives... All ok strikes... Smashed one into the wind close on 300 yards.... It went high but certainly low spin...

Overall 4 hits on the course-

Feels weird with no alignment aid
Head being so big doesn't feel or look too big...

18 tomorrow on last years Scottish open course so will see how it goes there on very tight fairways...

Was coming from the S+ stock that the shop gave me until the D+ came in. I was using a G30 with the tour 65 but hadn't hit it in weeks as the honeymoon period was short lived.

Didn't check the face after the two short ones as they were both semi blind so it was only when I got up to the ball that I realised they were well short of where I expected. Though it was a day for several shots looking great until they landed well short of the green.

Rory threw his club so now I refuse to buy any Nike clubs ever again. Besides, the Nike guys all cheat with an illegal golf ball. It's the only way they can play these clubs without looking like an amateur. I have a reliable source that told me so.

That was first thing I noticed when hitting them side by side. The Vapor Pro is a lot lighter than my old CT 2.0. If I remember correctly, the Vapor Pro is D3 vs the CT 2.0 being D5 or 6.

I'm currently gaming the TS 6.2x and I'm loving every bit of it. If you're gaming the WB and BB I think you'll find this is a good shaft. I honestly thought it may launch real low and the ball go no where but I was wrong. It gives a nice mid flight and can be worked high and low if need be. This thing flies off the face and I just didn't get the same penetrating flight with the D+ or S+ shafts in the fitting cart when I hit the Flex and Pro outoors.

I've read the tip is stout and you really need a fast swing to get than bad boy in the air? I guess it's called "tour spec" for a reason.

I saw a good deal on eBay for it, worst case scenario it will end up in the BST here.

The VC 6.2 TS is a fantastic shaft. I liked it best out of the Pro 63 TS, KK tini, and 661 evo this past week. 2nd place in my book was the Pro 63 TS (i still play the Pro 73 TS in my Vapor flex 3 wood). I bought the 6.2 TS raw/uncut and just put it straight in without tipping. Perfect feel and its true what others said; it really takes the left side of the course out of play. You don't have to swing hard but its hard not to go at it since the dispersion is really good.

I had the S+ X and now have the D+ stiff. I think the X is tighter than the stiff, but like the D+ better, tighter control and better feel.

it didnt...

turned up 930... putted with my dad supposed to arrive at 10... kept putting till 1010 then called him... he had forgotten about me!!! so i went home in a sulk...

funny he actually called me at dinner time asking about my driver...

dont know when i will next play as busy as these next three weeks... will certainly try and fit the range in...

I think this club looks better in person than it does in photos. In photos it just looks like the cheapest piece of crap China stamped out thing imaginable. In person, even the yellow swoosh on the top is kind of slick. I like the stock shaft as well. Just not sure I can pull the trigger on it. Between the 915 and G30, a lot of competition right now in the driver market for those that don't jump on the R15 bandwagon.
