Am I crazy?

Leaving after work tomorrow and driving 6 hours to Arcadia Bluffs. Playing 36 Friday and heading home after. Did same thing last year, but went to French Lick to play Ross and Dye courses. First time playing Arcadia. 12 hours of driving to play 36!

You should head over to Island Hills in Centreville on the way home. They are running a special where if you stay in one of their villas you get free unlimited golf the next day.

Wow! I was expecting Arcadia to be a very good course but it exceeded my expectations. Not only were the views amazing but I can't get over how much FUN it was. For me, I thought there was limitless ways to play most of the holes. You can get so creative on the greens with the undulation. Not sure where I would put it as far as the best course I've played but in terms of most enjoyable, it's top 3. And the 6 hour drive there and back? I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

How do you compare it to French Lick....the Dye in particular?

I will try and get some pics uploaded. As for how it compares to French Lick? I like that French Lick has two top courses to play, Ross and Dye. Although The Dye course has great views, I believe Lake Michigan wins that category for Arcadia. As I posted earlier, with all the undulation in the fairways and the amazing green complexes at Arcadia it can feel like a different course each time you play it. The Dye course felt more like target golf. Both are stunning courses, but in the end $180 for Arcadia with a pretty sweet replay rate is lower than the $300 plus at The Dye. And if you're gonna do the Ross and Dye it's well over $400, maybe pushing $500. But I highly recommend playing both if you can!

The weather was perfect! 72 and not a single cloud all day. Oh and the wind maybe, maaaybe got to 3mph. I had the first tee time of the day also! I couldn't ask for a more perfect day for golf.

I liked the Ross course. $100 is right on. Not very long. But the greens have huge undulating tiers. Carts have gps but it wud be an easy walk. Great condition. I would definitely play again if im in the area.
