Let's get this started in an official thread. Less than a week before the pre ordering begins.

 

Does anyone know when retailers will begin to have them on hand for demo? I have also heard rumblings about a new and improved fitting system. Anyone have any firm details and dates for demo release?

they will release the Vapor line in Oct. for preorder. prob won't till the first quarter of Jan when they come into stores. the Vapor Drivers don't come out till the 31 of Jan. I'm happy with my MMPROTO irons

Ordering a set of Vapor Pro Combo in 4-6 irons on Wednesday.

Same specs as my MMProto's. Have a hard time getting the sweet spot in those irons.

Nike will usually get any shaft you want. I got aldila tours in my pro combos last year, it just took a LONG time. I would say 100% on recoils, not sure about the prototypes though since they seem to be ust tour spx dealers only.

I've taken a few lessons to get my swing in order and have started hitting the MMProto's more consistently than any other iron set that I have owned before. These are the sweetest feeling irons! I hope Nike creates a SW and LW that has the same feel as the MMProto's. I currently play the Nike Toe sweep 56 and 60* wedges but they don't feel like MMProto's.

It's ok, they are nice to look at it. :clapping:

I played yesterday, I did hit good solid shots with the 5-6 irons.

Just a CB version of them would suit me a little better right now.

Nike has been good in recent years about ordering whatever shaft your heart desires. To be safe just give the folks in their customer service a call ahead of time.

I forget the Vapor Pro Combo lofts are stronger by 1 degree. Have to check out the spec sheet before ordering on Friday instead. When I know how much they'll be.

I don't know if he has them in the bag, but he does have the new Vapor bag.

Nike has started measuring length down the side of the shaft (like a typical putter measurement) instead of under the shaft (probably more technical terms for this).
Ex: the Covert Tour measures 45.5 down the side and 45 under the shaft.

It looks like they may be doing the same with irons now. I'll check on this tomorrow and let you know more.

Can't wait...planning on ordering PC 4-PW this week. Saw the Modus 3 is available as well as PXi - anyone know if they're on the current Nike cart? Anyone try them in the current PC? I play the PX 6.0 hard stepped once currently.
