Question for those who custom ordered your sets. I'm thinking of ordering a 6i pro combo and an 8i pro to compare them to my 712 AP2's. I doubt a single iron will be serialized, but was wondering if each club is etched with a serial number like Titleist does with their custom sets.

Edit: one other quick question. I know it's only been a couple weeks since their release, but how are these clubs holding up to bag chatter. One of the worst things about AP2's finish is the chatter is extremely visible.

mine actually have two sets of numbers on the hosel...can take pics in a few to show you.

i've played one round, walked and they have a LITTLE chatter already. they're soft. also, through a range session and one round i have marks on the sweetspots already too. these will wear quick

VPC with one number and Pro with another? You have the same exact set up I'm considering 3-7 VPC and 8-P in the Pro.

I assume the chatter isn't as easy to see on the satin as it is on AP2 chrome finish. Wearing quick doesn't sound promising though.

There is chatter and there are small chip marks from sand and fairway bunkers on the bottom of the irons. Nothing can be made to avoid those when playing in Arizona. So consider playing with iron covers.

I was told parallel vs. taper tip is the issue why they won't fit.

Wow...I didn't realize that the speed was a .370 head. What a bad idea on their part...I wanted the speed long irons. This changes alot.

Looks like they got rid of the NG360 bag, and went with indeed a shoe box with shafts and iron heads.

Hopefully they come with iron shafts, not just driver ones. For all to test.

saw one in person this past weekend - quite a nice looking fitting bag. each 'drawer' in the front of it is felt lined and according to each line of irons/woods. it's pretty cool. the top has tip-down holes so you can pick out the right shaft with a marker in the bottom of the grip.

I ordered the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Was told they would ship yesterday or today. I emailed and they said check back tomorrow for a tracking number and they were shipping directly from Nike. Considering I only live a few miles away from The Oven (if that is where they are shipping from), I am hoping to come home to a nice surprise once I leave the office.

I ordered mine on Tuesday of thanksgiving week and received them last Tuesday, so a 2 week turnaround. I ordered 4-aw, ndmc and KBS tours, all of which they have on hand now and have probably a decent inventory built up of for custom builds on previous models. But I also ordered 1 degree up and 2 degrees strong, so not totally stock.

Long way of saying that I assume the turnaround is pretty dependent on whether or not they have your specs on hand.

My 58 is used for all my shots around the greens including bunker shots. Right now i don't carry a SW at all, so 58 gets most of that duty. I'm only carrying 13 clubs right now, so the idea of changing up the wedge system is kind of tempting.

Well, DD informed me yesterday that Nike doesn't have PXi shafts but expects them this week and will update Friday. Rats! I'm counting on having my set over the holidays because I always play at least three times and am playing Sunday and Monday already. I'm sure I'll play the weekend after Christmas and once the week after too. Man I'm like a kid at Christmas! Except Santa Claus didn't pay for this present. :-)

I have a VR Ltd 5 wood that is sitting in a bag in my garage. It was in the bag most of the year, but I got to where I wasn't hitting it at all during my rounds because (for some strange reason) my CT 1.0 hyb (set at 21) started carrying 10 yds more. Don't understand what changed there, but it's allowed me to cover a wide range of yardages with it. I can hit it hard 220-ish and still dial it down in the 200 range.

Adding another wedge is questionable. Like I posted earlier (in one of the threads), I'm toying with going Engage 50 Square--54 Toe Sweep--58 Dual. It would be after my 52/58 Oven wedges wear out though. I'm extremely confident with them right now and I'm not changing until they are nearly grooveless. Plus, I've been 52/58 with my wedges for at least 12 years. Not sure I want to go back to questioning which wedge to hit when I have three + PW in the bag. That was always the problem when I had 52/56/60.
