1. What is the ground of suing?
A. If a couple agrees on future marriage and is living together and sharing financial status, the Korean law regards this relationship almost as marriage. She claims that she pay the cost of Kevin's occupational activity. If he breaks the marriage, he should pay it back.
B. If he had an intention to falsely promise to marry her and took an advantage of her money and her being company, it can be even considered as a form of cheating under Korean law. That's why this can be a criminal case.
C. Living 1.5 years together as a couple is almost regarded as marriage in Korean culture. This make her not 'miss' but 'divorced'. Thus, her overall value as a marriable woman is declined. Again if this is due to Kevin's false promise to marry, he is responsible for the 'damage'.
D. It is not clear what she was doing before joining Kevin tour, but havig almost 2 years career gap in Korea is often irreversible. He job market is very illiquid there.

2. Why parent involved.
A. Culturally parents are more involved in marriage than American and European cultures.
B. In my opinion, it is hard for 20ish woman in Korea have earned 100k dollars amount. In that case, there is higher chance that the money she spent along Kevin is from her parent.

3. Why mentioning sex slave.
I think this is to criticize Kevin being irresponsible for his commitment. In Korean culture, it is bad form that a man promise to marry and have sex then dump her.

Very well summarized, [size=4]I may add that if [/size][size=4]couple living together more [/size][color=#333333][size=4]than a year had a de facto marriage life according to [/size][/color][color=#333333][size=4]Korean Law, but their abandoned this rule last year due to the mesh, Kevin knew this very well and that's why he had a gut to called it off.[/size][/color]

My take is that this won't be a criminal case, and Kevin will settle the case somehow. One thing is though he does not seem to have many fans to lose from this. Maybe had only little fan after all.

When I see him in contention and getting pressured and choked, I feel for this guy a lot. Just like average Joe but trying really hard. I want him to gain a couple of win so that he can be a little relaxed and learn to care for people around him.

You ASSUME he could get better and there are lots of rich people in CA that drive exotic cars - being a professional golfer isn't as "cool" as being a pro in one of the other four major sports; not to mention he'd probably be unrecognizable to most.

Also, you're talking about a guy who could probably throw on a skirt and tee it up on the women's tour and no one would think twice about it - at least from the aesthetics. Once he opens his mouth though, they'll know for sure there's an issue - dude whines too much.
