Any Tattoos on Golfers? (merged)

I have a few but covered with short sleeve polo shirts for the most part. However my younger bro is sleeved up both arms-- I usually play with him and never had any negative reaction from the courses we play in-- a few muni's and a few semi-private's.

That might quite possibly be the dumbest thing I have ever seen in my life, putting a permanent advertisment for a business on your body. I think tatoos are strange in general, but to each his own, I would never permantly put some gawdy art on my body, but a corporate logo is insane. Why not have a Nike logon on you feet, a Polo Pony on your breast, a Titleist logo on your forehead Hanes on you waistline and Levis on your a**. Contact the corporate marketing departments and see if they pay you royalties. I honestly feel embarassed for the guy.

I've seen quite a few VW tattoos on a VW forum I frequent.. Some people just really like certain things... It's just strange though...

 

At least hide the logo in a pictures or something...

I have one tattoo across my upper back, I got it when my dad died. He was an engineer and loved to fly and built an experimental aircraft from scratch before I was born. He flew it for over 20 years before something went wrong and he crashed on approach to land. We will never have closure but we believe he suffered a sudden incapacitating health issue - heart attack, stroke, blackout.

 

I am in aviation myself (Coast Guard helicopter flight mechanic) so the tattoo has more than one meaning but it is for him... I think of it as my pop's joy... On wings in the clouds with the sun breaking through.

 

 

I have been thinking of getting my name spelled out in nautical flags on my side for the past 4 years, but just haven't committed to it. Tattoos should have a deep meaning in my opinion.

oh my, a shirt design on your arm...hummm...I've never been a fan of tattoos. Probably because I prefer to collect surgical scars. Right Achilles tendon rupture, right rotator cuff rupture, right knee arthroscope, left wrist shattered and wired back together, and soon to be left elbow tendon repair. Not nearly as colorful as some but I have no desire to add any further permanent markings of any variety.

 

As for piercings, I find them highly unattractive although my teenage daughters have multiple ear piercings (which don't bother me too much) and nose and lip piercings. Of course I used to wear skin tight bell bottoms with loud paisley shirts and have hair to my shoulders so who am I to talk.

 

A scar is a tattoo with a better story!

I am getting barb wire around a little over 3/4 of my bicep and then it will look like it goes into my arm on both ends instead of connecting and...this is hard to explain, but there is going to be what looks like a strip of the american flag intertwined through the barb wire to give it a patriotic flair.

why??? THe strip of flag is the focal point ,the barb wire(silver in color) is more of the background, it is not just a band of black barb wire.

I have 1. I have 3 more planned for when the budget is available. My current on is on my right deltoid and the other 3 will be on my back.

 

755, sounds like an interesting design, it really doesn't matter what other people think.

 

To me Tats are very personal, in that in order for me to get one or want one, it has to have very special meaning. I think a lot of people get them to get them for fashion or trend sake. That's fine they can do what they want.

Got it and I love it... wife got one too. She is the worlds biggest Bon Jovi fan so she got a Jovi tat on her shoulder. The guy that did them was a little expensive but he is the best in the area and did IMO a great job on both of us...I could see this being addictive...the pain was ot nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
