chalk up another up and down for the TS today - that's 7/0 since putting it in the bag
had a plugged lie today, green side bunker, about a 20 yard shot or so
rolled it out to a foot

Anybody using the 58* square model? I have it narrowed down to the DS and the Square in the loft. I do use that loft for full shots, so that's why I'm not lookin at the TS. I don't hit a lot of flop shots, so I'm not to worried too much about how it performs with that shot, but I will still open the face occasionally with the 58*. Thanks.
I would still try the TS. I have yet to see anyone with a significant problem on full shots when fitting. If someone is losing the ball right, like more than a couple of yards, there is either something way off in the lie, or their swing. It's really hard to curve a lob wedge. The ball is not in the air very long, and it takes an incredibly large face/path discrepancy to shift the spin axis appreciably (higher loft=more backspin, meaning a lot more sidespin is needed to shift spin axis, plus as loft increases there is a lot more slippage, especially laterally along the groves). A 5 yard curve with a lob wedge is about the equivalent of a 25 yard curve with a 7 iron. Try it out, as long as the lie isn't way off (like 3-4* flat), you won't have a problem... It may or may not be the club for you, but the full shot issue really isn't an issue.
+1. You're really denying yourself the versatility of the TS if you take it out of the mix before even hitting it. It really does depend on the golfer and their swing, as well as the club specs. I have mine bent 1* flat and have only had one full shot so far end up right of where I was aiming it.
I'll keep the TS in mind then when I get a chance to look for a 58*. I have the 54* Square, and I'm a big fan of it. I have the tendency to get pretty steep when I play, so that's my concern with the TS. I like the looks of all 3 clubs, so that's not a concern. I've played the original VR Forged 56/10 bent to 58* for the past couple of seasons, so the bite is no longer there. I'm just looking for a grind that plays similar to the one I'm used to. Thanks again for the input.

God it is so tempting to buy a 50* SS for sh*ts and gigs because it cost $79 shipped from Sports Authority. The only reason I'm not is because Im very picky when it comes to my GW. It either matches my irons or matches my 54 and 60 wedges. Plus I really like my SM5. If only sports authority had Glide wedges.

If anyone wants my 10% coupon code at sports authority just PM me.

I'm using the 58 DS as my main bunker club. It started a little rough but I'm getting better with it every time out. I know it's not the 60, but it's pretty solid.

If you look up Tai's Review of these wedges, I think I remember him saying in the lob wedge slot, the DS dug the most. So far, I've had no issues with digging on my TS. I've hit a couple chips off some tight links lies last week, and I found I could hit square and open faced low spinners easily, and the bounce on the toe helps a little bit to prevent digging. Almost like having the forgiveness of extra bounce, but it's not in the heel, so you can still open the face up with ease.

My Engage wedges are out on the truck for delivery today, but unfortunately I didn't get notice that they had shipped until today, and apparently they shipped with Direct Signature Required, so I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow, or later, to get my hands on them.
When did you order them? I order a set of wedges and got a confirmation from Nike that they shipped, but no notification from on the UPS site using the tracking number they provided me. I'm worried because my neighborhood has a reputation for "borrowing" packages left on other people's doorsteps and leaving you empty handed.

I ordered them on June 1, estimated shipping date was June 12. I had heard nothing, expected it'd be June 12, or later based on demand, but then when I got to work this morning I received an email that my order had shipped, checked the tracking to see when they were supposed to be delivered so I could make plans (if needed), saw they were out of vehicle for delivery and signature required.

Yeah, I get the safety, and they have no way of knowing, but I live in a gated apartment complex, all packages (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc) have to be left in the clubhouse, with cameras, key fob access only, etc.
Lol you guys are putting up some insane short game stats and hole outs with these!!
I've only managed to get two rounds in, but my second hole ever using the 58 TS, I chipped in, and was 4/5 getting up and down around the greens. During my second round I had an insane up and down for birdie on a par 5 where I tried to go for it, and ended up short in some of the tallest grass on the whole course. It literally wandered in only about an inch or two, but it was enough to make me have to pick up my club and just hack it out. I somehow managed to get great contact, or the engage just cut through the weeds like a machete, because I saw the ball plop up and land softly onto the green. Left me about 14 feet for birdie which I luckily made. Probably one of the coolest up-and-downs I've ever had. My playing partners were amazed that I was even able to advance the ball outta the stuff.

I have ... not sure why thats hard to believe
hole 18 on a local I play is a 513 yard par 5, dog leg left, water on both sides - you need to hit fwy from the tee
the green is protected by a bunker and slopes away from you, into water
carrying a long iron into that green AND holding it, is pretty damn hard to do, as the greens are super fast and hard (links style course)
dump it into the bunker in front of the green, and its a pretty easy up and down for birdie or par

personally, I like my chances out of the bunker better than laying up to a short yardage when the fwy and green slope away from you

my 60 is bent to 61*
my 58 is bent to 57*

I really did well last year with just my 58 toe sweep bent -1. The higher loft is just for special situations, so I just have to resist the urge of hitting it all the time like i used to lol.

No. I bladed my 52 the other day and the added cavity didn't help at all.

On the serious side....I really don't think about forgiveness when hitting with this much loft. I like they way they look at address...the way they feel...and spin is good. That's enough for me.

I agree with shakey.

Only thing I really care about is how it feels off the face. Like a putter, I don't want any feedback whatsoever. My Trusty Rusty's were clunky and these are nice and small and feel like hitting the sweetspot every time. The spin has turned out to be a nice bonus for me
