If it helps for those waiting to order because of back order, I am going to put my 56 ss and 60 DS on the bst. Both shafted with the new modus3 wedges in the 115 weight. I'm lefty though!
What didn't you like about them?
It wasn't that I disliked them. I just love my prior Gen toe sweep...it's insanely easy to play from all lies for me. If I could get a TS engage I'd be all over it. Love the rust and everything about the looks, feel. The TS just performs better for me. I was able to pick up a 60 degree for cheap too recently.

I ws finally able to hit some engage wedges yesterday......I really wish I didn't haha, they feel great. My SM5 50* feels off to me in my recoil 95 prototype so the itch for a new GW has begun. Weird thing is I really like the feel of my SM5s (SW and LW) in my recoil 110 prototypes. So now I basically flip a coin between a 50* Engage or Glide. The only issue is if I get a 50* engage its only a matter of time before I have to get a 54* and 60* haha.

I finally got my wedges out on the course a couple times. After a few practice sessions to get used to them....these things are FANTASTIC. I have a 60° TS that has been money around the green and out of bunkers. Excellent spin and distance control out of thicker lies. The 54° SS is excellent on half-shots and performs real nice.

Have a dilemna though, I haven't been able to (never really did) get them to give me accurate distances on full out swings. I have a 47° PW and was wondering how I could sneak an extra wedge in for just full shows. Should I buy a 50 and get it bent to 51, and then bend the 54 to 55? Maybe just bend the 54 to 53 for a little bit easier gapping to my PW?

As of right now I have a 15 yard gap between the two, and probably an 8 yard gap from my 3 to 4-Iron. Thinking of adding an extra wedge (even though I don't need it for around the green type stuff as much) and ditching the 3 iron.

I demoed the square sole went to buy ds but this was there and free to try
60 was spectacular in every way all shots were playable straight forward chips are silly open lob is no prob
I'm blown away but as a junkie I want to try the ds. I'm a digger and this square sole works perfect
I haven't heard many playing the square is anyone here that plays square in 60? I hope you can give me more feedback
Thanks
Bobby

I ordered the engage last night and almost had some buyers remorse so I went back to Carls to hit the glide and engage again and the engage was just the better gw for me. Yes the glide would look a lot better next to my s55s but I couldn't argue with the results the engage gave me. I'm pretty excited since this will be my first Nike golf club. I have a feeling a 54 and 60 will be ordered sometime in the next 6 months but I'm not sold on the TS and not sure I want to go with another SS for my sand wedge. I wish Nike made the DS in some lower lofts but maybe that will change in the future. Either way Nike has a real winner with their engage wedges.

I use a SS 52 and 58. I have never had a wedge get through the sand like these. I came from VR pro II forged 52 and 58. It will take a little work but after a few rounds and a little practice I'm loving these. Now they might just be great for me and maybe not the next guy but I feel like these glide more through the sand than my old wedges. Just my opinion but i don't think you will be disappointed at all.

I take it your local, due to the awesome sparty avatar you can borrow my 60 TS if you want to try it on the course for a couple rounds.

 • 2 weeks later...

Went to the casino on Friday night. Came out $200 ahead. Saturday went and picked up a 54* toe sweep. Played today. First time hitting it out of the sand I holed out. I'm talking slam dunk, hit the the flagstick an in for eagle. Went on to shoot one of my best rounds. Never been a good bunker player but this thing just glides through. Had another shot to about a foot to save par.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm getting my engage put on a recoil prototype this week and should be ready to go by Tuesday. I only hit the engage with the stock shaft so I hope it still feels great in my recoil.

Haven't been able to demo these yet on the grass, just mats. How does the toe sweep grind play on tight lies and lob shots? Does the weight towards the toe ever result in too much bounce and the leading edge getting off the ground too much?

Will just have to see when these arrive then, ordered 56 and 60 TS models from Dicks for ~$85 shipped each! Much needed upgrade from the Nike VR originals.

How'd that deal work?
Bit of a hassle, but did the following:
1. DSG 20% off coupon for purchase over $100 (did two separate purchases)
3. Bought discounted gift cards off Raise and Card Pool (~20% off, then got another 5% for using a first time customer coupon)

I saw that you already bought these, you made an excellent choice. I have the toe sweep in 56, dual sole in 60, and they're great wedges. I've only hit lob shots out of rough with the 56, but I love it for the low spinner off tight lies. The mass they took from the heel allows the club to sit open and the leading edge sits close to the ground, but the weight in the heel lets the club play like it has more bounce, its very forgiving off tight lies and like cheating from bunkers. I've honestly had more issue with the dual sole digging on wet lies if I'm too far off on my technique. But I love both wedges, they've been awesome so far.

That's awesome to hear. I did toe sweep in both the 56 and 60 because i was afraid of the same thing - the DS having the sole dig on tough lies. Seems like the TS grind really helps you play with the bounce and has more all-around forgiveness. These come in tomorrow so I'll provide an update soon!
