Hands down the best wedges I've ever had. Came from cally wedges, sm4, and VR forged. The toe sweep is so easy out of the bunker and the club is perfect from tight lies, however I'm not sure if my custom grind has anything to do with that. The square grind in my gap wedge couldn't be any better also. Incredibly happy with mine.

Picked up a 60* TS this week (all stock) and just played my first round with it. Really like the look from address, leading edge is nice and straight and sits tight to the turf, which really inspires confidence from tight lie close to the green. Also great from the sand, maybe not quite as good as my 60* PM grind, but more than satisfactory. The heel relief really helps keep the leading edge tight when opening the face, more so than any wedge I've played before. For a little background, I have 50 and 54* MD2's in the bag and the Engage looks almost identical to my eye at address, aside from the finish. I almost prefer the darker raw look to the satin chrome of the Callys. Going to play a few more rounds with it before I make a decision, gonna be tough to get the PM out of the bag but this wedge has a good shot!

So what sole set up are most of you rocking? I usually go 50,54,58 with my wedges and know I'd get 50 in square. I like to use my 58 for a variety of shots usually open faced so I guess dual sole would be good for that? But can it also be used from the bunker? If the DS grind is good out of the bunkers I could probably get both 54 58 in that grind.

I gave a very weak effort to get my 58 to rust. I had it in the repair shop at work with me one day and kept hitting it with a spray bottle full of water. It rusted a little, but was splotchy. I decided to let it do it on its own after that. It's just now starting to rust up some.

I got mine two days before official launch date.

I tried to rust mine on purpose and hated the results so I cleaned them off and have let them go natural. Mine have a little more than yours, but I've played in the rain and damp conditions. I like that dull worn look not the full on tetanus shot look.

Up north here I cleaned them and just didn't wipe them down and got a little rust. Last week I couldn't play much because my kid had a baseball tourney so I cleaned them and let them sit for about 3-5 days and they started rusting pretty good. Doesn't look bad. I will get some picks in the next couple of days pretty busy with work and another baseball tourney.

OK you Nike turkeys, you got me to buy my first Nike club - an Engage 60 Dual Sole - and after some good range, bunker, and short game time I've added a 56 Toe Sweep and 50 Standard Sole (I think that's what it's called). I hope the 60 performs on the course like it has been in practice, pretty sure that's a keeper. The other 2, we'll see...

Mine seems to rust pretty nicely but after a couple bunker shots, the sole goes back down to the raw finish. Actually looks pretty rad.

I have the 58 DS and flops are really easy with it. I had the 58 TS last year..not so much.

Well...after thinking about it some I need to edit that. The TS from last year was good on some flops. Out of the rough, I could throw it straight up at times. Tighter lies is where the high lob was more difficult for me with the Toe Sweep.

I have the DS in a 60 and it's easy to flop out of any lies IMO. I think the TS would be easiest but us lefties can't experience that kind of fun.

I posted in the other thread but I'll give you a little more info. I have a 60 dual sole, 56 toe sweep and a 54 toe sweep bent to 52 to match my gaps (47 degree pitching wedge). Dual sole: awesome from tight lies, really easy to open up and hit a ton of different shots, great spin and feel. Cuts through the turf really easily. Amazing on tight lies, I have no problem opening the face and getting some height from anywhere, including a burnt out area of the putting green (don't tell the super!) Downside: prone to dig a little bit on soft lies, plays like a low bounce wedge even though it has 13 degrees of bounce. I noticed some digging in practice, and I'm very much a sweeper/picker with my wedges, I rarely take a divot on shots around the green. I can honestly say I've hit more great short game shots in the month or so I've been using the engage than in 6 months with the Callaway MD2 Tour (that I chose over the SM5's). Perfect example: finished up a round and went out to play 9 before dark with a friend, we had about an hour. Got up and down 4/5 times, and all four were tap in's. A few holes I didn't bother bringing my putter out of the cart in an attempt to save time, I was that confident that I was going to get it close from the lie I had. Now I don't expect this every time, but I've had significantly more tap-in's since switching to the Nike's (also taken a short game lesson and improved my technique since March, but I digress).

Toe sweep: like cheating out of the sand, very forgiving on toe hits with the weight distribution, great out of deep rough and those sketchy, sitting down lies. Cons: I struggle a little bit with this club wide open on tight lies if I'm trying to hit a high lob, but that's not a shot I hit often with my 56 or 52. They are awesome for opening the face a few degrees and hitting the low spinner though, I love hitting those shots with these wedges. And easy to hit a high lob from the rough, you can open the 56 and hit shots like you've got 4 more degrees of loft from these lies. Slightly easier to open the MD2 with the lower lofts, but I like the engage better for full swings with the added weight.

Overall: Callaway feels softer than the engage, but has a clickier sound in my opinion. Engage has almost a heavy feel, Callaway is a little softer. For me the SM5 wasn't close feel-wise to the MD2, and I like the feel of the Engage more than the Callaway. I've gotten more spin with the Engage out of the 3, I've had to adjust a little and fly shots closer to the hole, even out of the rough, with the added check. This was especially noticeable at first, but the spin has stayed consistent in the 4+ weeks I've had them, and I've been using them often. I like the finish of the Callaway a little better, but now that the Engage is starting to rust it looks really sweet. Would I buy them again? Absolutely, only change I'd make is to maybe switch the 60 dual sole for a 58 dual sole bent to 60 to see if the added bounce helps with the digging, and maybe try a 52 straight sole vs. the 54 bent to 52. I subscribe to the Monte/Iteach "use the bounce" short game method, so I'd like the extra bounce, especially with the aggressive heel and toe relief on the dual sole. I'm even considering picking up a 60 degree toe sweep and sending to Joe Kwok or Modern Golf and having some of the heel and toe ground off similar to the green dot sole to see if I like that.

Overall I would highly recommend the engage wedges, they were well worth what I paid for them.
