could nike not use the same groove pattern/forging when making the engage wedges?

Those were/are awesome wedges.[/quote] I loved them just couldn't get them to spin anymore. Not that I could bring the ball back I just wanted it to hop and stop. I'm back to that with the engage but the shafts just feel horrible. I'm either going with the Pxi or the DG spinner shafts. Talking with the pro he felt I should go spinner because he had trouble getting the PX shafts to spin for him.

So I'm in the air right now about which shaft to go with. I thought about it a lot and have noticed some pros that use PX shafts go up in stiffness in their wedges and thought about that too. Just not sure.

Nonsense...go over the grooves with a smaller flat-head screwdriver (make sure it's a snug fit) and I promise you,you WILL get your spin back. Worked with my SM2s, VR Red, Xforged, and most recently my Xforged Raw.

Dg pro X-100 makes for a great wedge shaft imo. I have them in my 52 and 58 and gained spin +control over the stock kbs hi-rev shafts. Its great to be playing the same shaft from 2-lw also.

I have project x 6.5 3-LW. Couldn't be happier with the feel and control I have in my wedges. And also, the natural progression of weight makes these shafts perfect for wedges.

I just bought some Onyx TI x100 for my 50*, 55* & 60*. I'm customizing the paint scheme as well, to make it easier to know which wedge I'm pulling from the bag.

50* Square - orange paint fill
55* Square - white paint fill (standard)
60* Dual Sole - volt paint fill

I just put the KBS 610 wedge shafts in my engages. Definitely a lower flight and less spin than TI DG100 which is what I was looking for. I have issues with ballooning wedges and spinning them off greens with full swings. Super easy to hit knock down wedges with these shafts. I'm a big fan! The shafts do what they say they will. Very happy. If your a KBS fan I suggest you try them.

For anyone interested... The PXi's is a really nice shaft for these wedges. I was surprised how heavy they felt after I put them together. Which I'm happy about. They are also throwing the ball out there a bit lower than the Nippon Modus3 I had in prior.

The PXi spins less than the Modus3. Before the Engage's I was playing 52 and 58 degree Vokey's with DG Spinners and I didn't like them at all. I couldn't put a full swing on those vokey's to save my life. For the most part, the strength of my game is my wedge play. But with the Modus I just wasn't getting the distance I felt I should have which I have unscientifically attributed to the really high ball flight I had with the Modus. So I put the PXi in with the hope of lower flight, less spin, more roll. Might not be the best for everyone, but I like it.

I'll stick to the Modus3 in the irons because I love the high ball flight from 165 yards and the hop, stop and sit when the ball lands.
