Tstar on Rakuten is selling 5-PW sets of 2015 Kuro's for $600 + shipping. Man, I'm so tempted. Only issue for me is the shafts. Nippon 950's are noodles and DG is too heavy. Wish they offered something in the middle without special order.

Uh that is one hell of a deal. I would look into adding the 4 iron as well if it's an option. It's so easy to hit and this is coming from someone who would choke down a hybrid before I would even think about hitting a 4 iron.

Exactly how much offset do these have and and how small are the heads? What club at a big box would they be most comparable to in those regards?

This set for some reason just calls to me, and I do want to add a CB set next year, but I hope that the head size and offset is not too much.

I am also waiting for end of this year and hopefully I can get a set with modus or something for like 45,000yen on yahoo auction.

Google and look at images to judge size and offset. These are medium size and long irons have noticeable offset. These are more of a "working mans" set of forged irons, not some beauty queen set.

It is hard to tell from what I have seen when googling as I haven't seen any comparisons to anything I can relate, but last I looked they looked to be a little bit bigger and more offset that I like. Not sure what you meant buy working man and beauty queen, but I work construction everyday and come home really dirty, and if you saw my clubs, I out them to work and they get well used and not well cleaned or clubhead covered for the woods so I am not one of these guys that gets JDM stuff to not use and look pretty. I just eventually want JDM cbs I can comfortably interchange with my current sets without it feeling too different or mentally worried about left more than I already am, it seemed a simple enough question about something I will never have a chance to see in person unless I spend money to see them.

You might want to look at the a grind r1 cb. They have like zero offset if you're worried about it.

Onoff makes this? I will look it up. The kuros look just so appealing to me as a CB.

I can handle some offset like my mp 14s don't bother me, but I have Mac vfoils that I am probably selling because they are just too much and as much as I love them in all all other ways and it just ruins the set for me to play but they are literally almost new and I just love the set, or the idea of it, and they feel really nice in a unique way.

No they are a new company called a grind. The lead designer is from royal collection Japan. Do a search for the r1 cb. There's some reviews on them already. They are not going to be as forgiving as the onoffs but looks wise it might be something you're looking for.

I am familiar with a grind. Part of the onoff appeal was the endo forging. I may just go romaro or vega for this set of I get it.

PRGR iD-BLs are what you want if you want an Endo forged CB with very little offset. If you could wish for an Epon 302 with no offset, this is what you'd get.

+1 on that...just hit mine again at the range as they've been benched for my flatbacks at the mo, and man, I've forgotten how great these things feel, soft but not mushy and with great feedback. offset is as good as you're gonna get
on cb's (aside from maybe tourstage mr23 cb's but idbl's are miles more forgiving all across the face)

I had kuros and really liked the long irons, but seriously felt I had sub-par duplication with the idbl's, so I got rid of them. if you're willing to try and underrated club that I promise you will perform, go with the idbl's and you'll get an amazing set and prolly save yourself a few bucks too

Bumping this thread for feedback from owners of the OnOff 2015 Kuro Irons.......... I'm loving mine and they are holding up very well.
The finish and quality seems to be as good or better than anything on the market. I had mine built with Nippon Modus 3 Tour 120 S

Thoughts from other owners??

Ugly is subjective...but even if it wasn't, it should be overlooked when it comes to these. The iD-BLs are easily one of the absolute best performing and feeling players CB I've ever gamed.

How do the 13's compare to the newest version?

I've never hit the 2015, but I have the 2013 and 2011 version. If onoff is still trending the same direction, I would guess the 2015 has slightly less offset with a thinner topline. As soft as any iron I've ever hit plus they are REALLY forgiving.
