I don't really follow the NFL much anymore, so this opinion isn't worth much, but: I'm still in full on "F Goodell" mode and rooting for the Pats. It's one of my favorite story lines in sports in years.

Well it definitely wasn't pretty, but a win is a win! If the Steelers can control the clock again like they did in the first half and convert trips to the redzone into touchdowns they have a great shot at winning. The defense has been playing better in the second half of the season and has historically struggled against Gronk when playing the Patriots. Gronk ain't playing in this game. I have been to two AFC Championship games where the Patriots have beat us in Heinz Field. It is time to return the favor.

To be honest, I would of rather played the Chiefs over the Steelers. Steelers has some stud offensive players and a good defense. It will be a good game. Now that boys are out I hope the Patriots win --- I just love how they run the organization ( Cowboys/Redskins could learn a few things)

I'm kind of a sports team bigamist for sure. I grew up a huge Pats fan, but I moved to Baltimore in '96 (same year as Ravens) and I'm much more of a Ravens fan now. But I pull for Pats against anyone except them. But, I'm not trying to come off like I live and die with the Pats these days. I don't do that with any sports team any more, really.

Awesome day out on the course. As much as I love superfriend rounds throughout the year there is something really cool about being the only one out on the course in mid January. Cold as balls but the only other thing I could hear out there were the chainsaw guys, it was just great to be able to play 9 holes. Cant believe we've made it to mid January with no measurable snow. Pretty happy with where my game is at considering its January.

Lots of obvious hot takes right now about his getting over-yoked in the gym.

 

This is a strange question but have there ever been normal-shaped mid 20s-mid 30s guys get injured more than the over-gym guys? Once you get into your 40s I'm not really counting those guys, I mean shite happens at that age. But it would be interesting to track over the next few years.

Yeah that sucks about Rory. I used to not like him very much, but he has definitely won me over in the last couple of years. Hopefully he will be back to 100% before the Masters.

 

I just read an awesome 2 part interview today that Rory did at the end of 2016. It's a great read. They touch on a bunch of different subjects. Apparently Tiger texts him at 4 in the morning when he's up lifting haha
