Have you ever seen "Die Hard"? Most people don't know this, but John Mclane was actually always going to win in the end. The movie was actually written ahead of time and the script called for McLane to defeat Hand Gruber at the end. They didn't actually fight to the death for real, the fights and stuff in that film were all staged according to the script

Big pop for Stone Cold, it was great to see again. The Attitude Era was about the last bit of wrestling I watched for a while until last couple years. Was cool to see DX back and I was mad they cut to commercial with the Razor Ramon entrance going. Still loved the Hey-yo and toothpick throw. I though the show was ok overall, I read the crowd was mad at the other smaller venue. Should have had AJ come out with Balor Club.

I was highly disappointed since it was the 25th Anniv Show. Expected much more. Other than the Dudley’s, no reason to have Slater and Rhyno vs Titus and Crews on such a big show.

The last 2 matches last night were fantastic. All 4 of those guys SHOULD be stars on the main roster.

Nasty looking landing when Black flipped Adam Cole onto the chairs. It was a solid match.

 

Almas vs Gargano was for the most part a wrestling clinic. Great match.

 

I missed the first hour but plan to catch up before the Rumble tonight.

I thought the 1st 3 matches were good but nothing great Velveteen is a star though, but I bet they repackage him before moving up to the main roster

I think Velveteen's charisma is off the charts for a 22yr old. And that character, like Golddust for example, could evolve in many different ways. I really hope however they modify it that they don't screw it up. Good long-term gimmicks and personable guys don't come around all that often. Most wrestlers are just exaggerated versions of themselves which has it's pros aswell.

 

But a legit character can still be a lot of fun. It's almost impossible to do it long term these days. Bray Wyatt is probably closest but he hasn't changed much , and it gets stale

The last two matches at NXT were INSANE. So much talent with those 4.

 

RR was pretty good. I thought they got it right with the winners and a pretty big shock at the end, cant wait to see what direction all this goes.

 

**KIND OF A SPOILER** Anyone see Brock get pissed when he caught the knee by Braun and throw what I think was a legit punch or at the least a stiff worked punch??

I actually enjoyed the rumble. Surprises weren't the best but in a way I like that. There's so many on the roster that need some tv time they didn't waste it by bringing in so many legends.

The women's was meh. Too many legends stealing the spot light.

I hate how they book bayley. She went from the top to the bottom because she was the only one who could put up a match with nia and she kept getting her hurt.

Brock is an animal. Slowly becoming to like him. Braun has to take the belt soon though. So many close calls. They will have a one on one soon at some point.

Rey Mysterio looked to be in the best shape of his career. Hopefully he can stay injury free this time around. Assuming he’s back on a contract.

The ending to the women's match was terribly booked. Very reminiscent of the Reigns rumble where it was him / Show/ Kane at the end and everyone knew who was going to win. Asuka versus two women who are both basically retired? Honestly what the heck were they thinking? Why wouldn't they leave Sasha Banks in there until the end, just have Nikki eliminate Brie before Sasha goes out...

 

I mean it's not rocket science. There was zero drama the last 5 minutes. Philly went easy on the match because it was the women.....if they had done that in the men's match they would have bood them out of the building
