Has anyone watched the youtube's of Southpaw Regional Wrestling? They are pure gold. Reminded me of watching Georgia Championship wrestling as a kid.

Kind of looking forward to Backlash. I am really looking forward to the AJ/Owens match and what is going to happen with Orton/Mahal. I am thinking Orton retains but I kinda like what Jinder has turned into lately. He has great size and is decent on the mic, I could see him being a great heel. I thought Corbin would be a little better than he is right now but he is kind of stuck.

Couldn't agree more. He's terrible. Hopefully he will lose this Sunday and then go back to wherever he came from!

Takeover was awesome last night. The UK title match was spectacular, high flying and hard hitting. The tag team ladder match was awesome as well. Other matches were good too. Backlash has alot to live up to and I doubt it will

Ha I actually like Jinder for some reason. I thought the whole PPV was decent except for the womens match.

 

Nakamura has the best entrance in wrestling but I am not a huge fan of his wrestling style...all strikes really not a lot of wrestling.

 

AJ/Owens was a great match and I loved the finish. I know a lot of people didnt but when was the last time there was a great match that ended that way. Just keeps the feud going for a bit longer.

 

The tag team match was good. For some reason, I am starting to get behind Breezango as a group. They have done a good job with what they have to work with and are getting a little push. The crowd was behind them as well. I am disappointed in how American Alpha have been since they got to the main roster. I thought they were great but seem a little flat with their characters on SD.

 

EDIT- Did anyone see how Orton was throwing around the Singh brothers outside?? The face he made when he threw the one on top of his head?? Looked kinda like an OOPS face that he tried to turn into a serious face.

KO/Styles was a great match until the end. I hated the end. I might be the biggest Styles fan ever. I'm trying to talk my wife into buying me a set of his gloves for my birthday.

THere was something on a wrestling forum I visit that had an article about the lost art of the time limit draw...and seeing how the Owens/AJ match finished just made me think "man that was a decent ending, hadnt had a good countout in a long time". It protected AJ a bit since they fought outside for a bit and last second he gets his leg stuck and it gave KO a win.

 

And I agree on AJ, hes the best wrestler on the planet...would love to see him and Sami, Dolph, Rollins, any of those guys.

Ok I may be in the minority but Bray Wyatt needs a character change. Ship him off for 6 months and bring him back as something good. His promos are the same every week, same delivery same thing being said. He can go in the ring for the most part but I am not a fan of his character. I dont know what you bring him back as since everyone will still know its Bray but Im over this guy.

I think it would have been better if they'd made him dominant. He lost basically every feud he got involved in. Sort of lost the aura of his character.

I've never been a bray fan. I totally agree about changing his character. And I didn't realize until you pointed it out he has lost all his feuds.

 

He didn't really know he was going to Raw until last minute. I think they said he was whining and crying about losing the belt so quick and they said deuces

Work has been so crazy i've barely seen anything the last 3-4 weeks. Been in Texas, Las Vegas, SF, Boston and always seem to be travelling early in the week. Got a lot of stuff on PVR....Ehhhhh, also jet lagged

 

I'm happy to see Samoa Joe vs Lesnar. That could be a lot of fun.

 

I've said before i'm the world's last remaining Sheamus mark, so i thought it was cool that they won Sunday too and this partnership will get a few more legs. I like them as a tag team even though it's a little odd

 

I think Breezango if given enough time will be a really big deal for smackdown. They an do decent ring stuff, did you see Fandango's moonsault over the ropes a few weeks back? And Tyler Breeze is a really solid worker who has done some funny gimmicks. I really hope they keep getting airtime

 

I gotta say my highlight of RAW every week is Alexa Bliss , that "this is your life" remake sucked horribly. But Alexa is amazing and currently the second best woman on the roster behind Charlotte. I doubt many people saw that coming

Reigns vs Bray on Raw was a solid match.

 

The AJ vs Dolph matches have been good as well.

See I think Bliss in ring has went down hill since coming to Raw. I think Bayley is the best on Raw right now but getting lost cause of the Nia push. I feel like the switch up has hurt both programs. The women's division has no direction anymore on either show I feel.

 

Raw has so many single superstars and rumors of Enzo and cass breaking up because they are so high on Cass would just add another single superstar. I think cass can still be with Enzo and compete in singles. I just think it would be a terrible idea to spilt them now.

Smackdown's tag team division is amazing now. Such a difference since pre-WrestleMania.

Yeah the Usos are proof that a gimmick change can really make a stagnant team hot again. They've cut some good promos lately and they've always been solid ring guys. The New Day is still worth watching

 

Just keep giving Breezango time, that's all i ask

Breezango is LEGIT. My wife absolutely hates them but I laugh so hard. I really wanted them to win the tag titles. I think it would have done a ton with the smackdown tag team picture. Them and New Day going at it on the mic would be epic.

 

And on another note. I LOVE NXT. No Way Jose is my favorite right now. Guy is hilarious in everything he does to me. Great fun entrance. NXT has been killing it for awhile now and I'm finally on the train with them. I have went back and watched a ton of the take overs and they are amazing

The new day and usos wasn't too bad it's only a matter of time before new day gets the belts. Just didn't understand why they threw the fashion police match in the middle of the night kinda random.

 

Jinder actually isn't terrible in the ring and cuts pretty good promos for not a lot of experience. I think Corbin will destroy him at some point though which will be awesome

The Usos and New Day was a really really good match considering these are teams that have done this many times and everyone knows, and this wasn't a major PPV. They did a lot of really good spots

 

I liked giving Corbin the case. I had a feeling, he had taken a lot of pins lately. And he has really, really gotten better. His Talking Smack promos are always good, he is good in the ring, and is still really fresh. I think he and Alexa Bliss took the biggest steps on smackdown last year

Wwe sometimes in just unbelievable. I knew Cass was attacking Enzo but the singles competition is already loaded with talent. Zero need to push cash as a single right now.

Re: the Usos / New Day match, there were several moments where I thought there was a serious injury. I thought Big E broke his arm on the suicide dive (a move that I cringe at every time he does it), and I thought Kofi's initial bump outside the ring after the Uso pulled the rope nearly lead to Kofi dying (it looked better on the second replay).

 

Cass's mic work yesterday was his best yet.

Pretty good show. The Rap battle was amazing. Now keep in mind when you hear "WWE" and "Rap battle" you immediately think "this is going to be horrifyingly bad"....But man the Usos are just killing it with their new gimmick. And the New Day can always cut a promo

 

There were some real gems in this. The line about his wife getting him on Total Divas was amazing. The Usos referring to Xavier Woods Sex tape....This was grade A stuff

The John Cena promo was predictable, very USA, USA driven. And Rusev coming out was equally predictable....but it was still fun.

 

I'm enjoying Sami Zayn's new thing where he interrupts people and apologizes. The battle royal was fun too

 

The Women's segment was bad.

Another note. Rumors are flying that the wwe roster will have an overhaul here shortly. Aires was already released earlier this week. Might be a few more to come

Reigns / Strowman is a really good feud. I'm not sure if they have them take a break for a while or what....but it's been great for both guys. Strowman has become a fan favorite and they've used it to keep booking Roman more heel like which people want, and also have him take huge bumps, which people also like

 

Honestly you can't not like Reigns anymore. The guy has been thrown into an ambulance from an elevated position by a powerlifter twice in 2 weeks. The guy is never injured, takes massive bumps, and has been in several really good feuds and several memorable matches. And Strowman is what? A good guy now? He's supremely over and for a massive dude is remarkably fun to watch.

 

Like Zayn /Owens....i feel like i could watch Reigns and Strowman fight every PPV

 

And we're all aware that Samoa Joe has gotten more offense in against Lesnar than pretty much anyone in 4 years now right? That's kinda good for Joe i guess!
