This certainly is an interesting move from Miura !
For as long as I've been familiar with the brand there have been calls for more user friendly models .
This certainly is a big step in that direction !
Did I read it right ? Are those hybrids made in Taiwan ?

I was just about to post how much I dislike them, but after some thought, I think I'll regress and adapt to the progression of Miura. I normally do not like anything with a pocket cavity, but if they can round off that toe, they may have a winner for a broad range of players.

Those hybrids are stunning. Reminds me of the t**** 585.

I really like the look of the hybrids as well and am really going to look forward to hearing how they play !
The irons aren't exactly my cup of tea but in saying that they're not aimed at me either .
It's always great to see a company evolve to be more inclusive . I hope they've hit the mark with them for those that wanted a more user friendly Miura .
How these feel will determine their level of success .

I will say it for you Mj, those are gross and highly unappealing for what miura does......

That said, I am never a hater of success and if this makes miura and his kids and their kids more money then by all means....I have a feeling he will always have a solid 3 or 4 lineups for purists so what the hell.

I would say that in general small business is better off staying as niche as possible and not sure who is paying for these that would also have to look hard at Mizuno and srixon offerings, but I wish them the best. Dude made the best clubs I have ever hit so I am forever a fan of miura and hope for their continued success.

Mojo, that is my thought and people that get on companies for that kind of stuff either don't have their own business or don't understand business. Like I said, I am forever a miura fan, and don't care about clubs he makes I won't play.

Ok, I also have another thought on this, stay with me here. Maybe miura-San made these for the ultra jdm purist. Maybe he caught wind that despite the dude who posted about being dogged, that miura clubs are becoming a "known" brand and not everyone thinks they are wal mart brand and that is really bumming out the hardcore need to have something different club and they have moved on to yururi etc. in this he set out to make the ultimate cheapest and crappiest looking club, that no one in their right mind would think was not some Chinese knockoff, In there lies the genius of miura, a club that redefines the look of cheap chinese knockoff on a new level, yet still probably plays as you would expect a miura to. Now he has the ultimate offering for the guy that wants you to think he is gaming junk.....

Can you even forge that pocket without expensive cnc milling?

Meaning if it is that or 2 piece then joined, it would make sense for a trial product to be done over seas for expense.
[/quote]

It's 2 piece according to Tourspecgolf, and they have a pic of the spec sheet too... The body is forged, the face is sup-10 steel. Specifically states the body is wdd forged, no mention of forging the face

And the pitching wedge is 44 degrees, with a 5 degree gap to a 9 and 8 - yup, 8 iron is 34 degrees. ( WOW!!!! Look, my new 8 iron goes as far as my old 7 iron - which is 34 degrees of loft - WOW!!!! Wow indeed)

So a 39 9 and a 34 8?

Wow. I bent my Bb a degree strong and just moved my PW to 45 from 47 because I play it like a 10 iron, but my 7 iron is still only 33*.

How does distance control work on sets like that? Seems like it becomes too much ground to cover, I mean I didn't like the 5* I had from PW to 9 iron, I couldn't even imagine that from 8-7

Spring face irons like these are a growing genre. People want distance. The badging in the cavity is to damp noise from the face. Clubs like these don't have that super solid "butta" feel on center strikes, but they also don't feel as harsh on mishits. The impact sound is higher frequency too, even with the badge in the cavity.

They will be only up to 6 iron...but that will be about 5 iron loft so..?? I have made and tried the Neo hybrids....really sweet....The 21* launches much like the HB3 at 20*, but flies longer...hot face on both hybrids.
The irons will be in very short supply (At first anyway) so if you want some....Get after it ASAP :)
