Does the leading edge get more rounded as loft increases? The 60W that Dtown posted looked pretty round, but the 52S and 56C that I ordered didn't appear to be quite as round.

I believe the radius increases as the lofts get higher (52 should be straighter than 60) but not 100% positive.

I got to hit these at a demo day last week. I was particularly interested in the W grind and was very impressed by the interaction the sole has and how well it does, but also the feel. They feel great.

My only concern is on delicate chip shots with a slightly open face, thinking of just giving the W a little heel relief once I get them.

And for folks who are very shape discerning, the black finish seems to just mask it's slight round nature bettet.

Just finished a review of these for WRX and they're fantastic - The W is my personal favorite grind in the higher lofts and the S was really versatile pretty much everywhere else -

[/quote]Thats exactly what the C grind is for. Its why I ordered my 56 in the C. I like to play a bunch of shots with different face angles and my current MD 56C is great for that, in addition to my fairly shallow angle of attack. C grind is also good out of firm bunkers as well. The W is great from fluffy sand.

Hit these the other day in the Golfsmith simulators. Wow. I brought my xjaws (forged) 52 in for comparison. The MD3 felt softer, flew slightly lower (1-2* lower launch and ~10ft lower peak height), and actually spun more (~100 rpm) than the ball shredding jaws. MD3 barely made a mark on any of the balls, even when I went after it. These are a home run for me. Cant wait to get mine in and get em out to play. Also for comparisons sake, I tried the Chrome and the Black models and couldn't discern any difference in feel or performance. I prefer the chrome simply because it suits my eye better.

Yes! The Matte Black finish is unplated and will wear to silver and rust over time.

Was in the process of removing most of the paintfill on the wedge and re-doing it to my liking. Cool thing was that when you remove the Callaway white paint you can see the milling type lines in the impression where the stamping was done.
