Yes! The Matte Black finish is unplated and will wear to silver and rust over time.

Me too. Faded, worn, rushed wedges are an awesome look to me. I love when my irons and wedges get dirty and worn. They look used. Not a fan of keeping my clubs mint!!

To all those wondering why these are cast and not forged, I suppose they like the cheaper production and ease of achieving tolerances associated with casting, but I have a hunch that this will be an excuse to release a new "forged" series in a year or two.

Who is using chrome? All the pics I've seen from the tournaments most guys have the matte black. I can't actually think of anyone I've seen using the chrome. Do you happen to remember?

Most similar to the Vokey M would be the C-grind.

Not sure if the black finish is removable. Callaway has done it for some of their staff players but might be more of a requirement to bead blast rather than strip. Not sure until I see them in hand.

Closest to Vokey M-Grind is gonna be the MD3 S-Grind. The MD3 C-Grind is going to be more similar to the SM5 S-Grind. Then obviously MD3 W-Grind will be most similar to SM5 K-Grind. [/quote]

The C grind on the MD3 is the same as was featured on the MD2 and X-Forged. The MD2 Tour Grind is lower bounce and has a narrower forward bounce section. Like the Vokey L Grind.

Put 3 Mack Daddy #3 in play yesterday. 50- 56s-60w. Able to flight the 50 down hitting the one hop and stop, loved it. The 60w I was 3 for 3 getting up down from the some tough bunker shots. Just excited by what these might enable me to do with my short game.

I'm having the same issue. Just got off the phone with Callaway and they confirmed there was an issue with paperwork on a truck going through customs which caused a delay. They said the original tracking number probably won't update anymore but the club is on its way. So hopefully they arrive soon.

The C Grind would be closest, but it's higher bounce and slightly different. The MD3 just replaced the MD2, not the T-Grind. They will remain in the line up. Perhaps a Tour Grind MD3 next year?

Already delivered to Big Box stores, they have them on their shelves today. It may depend how big your pro shop's account is and how many they ordered. But every retailer should have them today.

The last time I ordered something from Callaway, tracking was off. They did arrive as expected after they said they were shipped from Mexico to Orlando. 5-6 business days.

I just hit these wedges. They are top shelf in the looks department. Had a 58/11 (not sure what grind) up with a sm5 58/11k. The vokey was more consistent in my opinion. The vokey also felt more solid and crisp. But that is just me. These are nice wedges.

Mine feel fine. On monitors they spin great compared to my sm5s. Out on the course I'm not seeing the spin I expect. First round with them were hard fast greens but today I played on softer greens side by side with my sm5s and didn't see the same spin. Tight lie chips on first bounce appear to have a good amount of bite but still release out more than I'm used to. We will see.

I saw these the other day. Hated the shape personally. Looks like a wide high rounded toe. Also a bit of goosencek look where they thinned out the hosel. MD2 much better IMO!

Agree. Also a little lightweight. Perhaps they will appeal to the masses. Cleveland Golf's game is slipping. Callaway is getting ready to slide in.
