Will Bubba win another major? I think not....

Why do people dislike him so much. There have been a LOT of golfers just like him. He's an amazing talent and fun to watch. Who cares if he complains sometimes?

He may not be the best player of his generation, but he is without a doubt the best shotmaker. To move the ball the way he does with the modern ball and clubs is incredible. There is a LOT of talent in those hands.

I think he snags a PGA at some point. The one thing about Bubba is that he does seem to improve and learn from his mistakes. You look at some guys and you think they are too much of a headcase to ever win a major. People were saying those kinds of things about Bubba several years back. Now he has 2 Masters and will likely be on the short list of favorites at Whistling Straits. Amazingly, at age 36, he's still maturing as a golfer. If he can continue to mature and get out of his own way, then he has potential for more majors for sure.

Bubba is DJ with a wedge game and a better putter. As strange as it may sound I think he is more mentally stable as well.....in an odd sort of way.

I'm inclined to agree, lol. Interesting too that the next major is one they
both played well at the last time in Whistling Straits. I'd take Bubba to
at least finish higher than DJ, maybe even win.

I think Bubba is just getting started. His entertaining game seems to just get better and better. If his head stays screwed on straight ( I've often felt that he could be unstable ), I see no reason why he couldn't win many more times with a few more majors thrown in for good measure.

So true Vindog. And I told myself last year I wouldn't post in any
more Bubba threads.....cause the posters collapse under pressure
and follow the herd.

I think Hearn would have taken Bubba's front 9 collapse if it meant
he could recover with Bubba's 5 birdies in the last 6, which for Hearn
would have been a 2 shot win, I think.

I think sometimes he gets bored with some of the courses. Like a child with ADD. He likes doing things different.

And for all the people moaning about the top button. Watch some old tape of Tiger. He did the same thing back in the day.. Not saying its right wrong or indifferent....

Funny someone bumped this thread and Bubba seems to be fading now and

virtually no one will think he's favored at Augusta this year...or anywhere else.

 

Maybe he's mentally checked out and focused on his family. I haven't followed

him for awhile so I don't know where his head's at these days.

Shot making on links is a totally different animal than shot making in the areal assault style for American courses.
