Just unscrew the weight to take off the top portion and screw, then the bottom part will wiggle out and the end of the track. The R15 allowed this, as well. Much different than the way the SLDR weight was handled.[/quote]

I've never had the need to grind one down, but I imagine you could grind the sides of the bottom weight, and probably the top one as well. You wouldn't want to grind the edges that hold the weight in the track, obviously, nor would you want to grind down the thickness of the weight, so make sure you're careful when you take the weights out that you're grinding the sides that face the direction of travel in the track. Marking them prior to popping out the bottom portion would be a good idea.

There is supposedly a lighter, 9g front track weight. I think the image has been posted a few times showing these weights and their SKUs. If you can give that info to a rep, maybe you can get one ordered? Or if you could get another back track weight, you could maybe put that up front.

When I did it to my SLDR weight I held it with vice grips and gently ground it down.

Just do it the correct way --- you don't want to make it so that you grind one of the ends that fit into the track.

Once you get it out you'll realize what side to do.

It'll help if you have a kitchen scale to weigh it as you do it. You don't need to take off much.

Mine was expecting a ship date of 18th but apparently it's been shipped from taylormade 2 day fedex. Should arrive at my local golf shop very soon

TM does not have the different weights avail. They are currently in production and should be avail in December. They are only avail for tour players currently.

Really??? This is from the catalog which has SKU's for different weights.....so you tell us those are only for Tour Only?

A hand grinder. I just held it along the side of the grinding wheel not the actual grinding edge. It was easy to do and only took a few seconds.

Yes a belt sander will work as long as you have the right type of sand belt on it. Heck, you can use a metal file and take it down if nothing else is available.

Can you use say both back weights underneath the respective sliding tracks and not have any issues?

Instead of grinding for 5g, that could be an option.

I was having trouble turning this thing over (9.5 w/Fuji).

Just had a good range session with a bi-matrix. Much better. I like the heavier sw and the weight near the hosel must be helping me turn it over.

Isn't it easier to just drill a hole in the bottom piece of the sliding weight than to use a grinder? Just use a small drill bit, weigh it, and then drill a larger hole if you have to take more weight out. Put it back in the track and put the top piece back on and you will never see it.

It would be difficult to do that because of the hole that's already in it --- it gets locked down by a screw to hold it in place. There's not a lot of room to be drilling holes (which wouldn't remove much weight anyway IMO).

I ordered back in late October and was told yesterday I was pushed to a November 18th ship date. Hopefully mine is on the way as well...
