Do you mean the Prolaunch Blue? I can't imagine the "regular" Grafalloy Blue hitting the ball too high in the air, many consider it a telephone pole.

Rex,
I'm guessing that Brassie is pre-WWII. 4 screw insert, and the way the sole plate is stamped lead me to believe it is circa 1940

It is Tommy Armour Penna Model 4302, Swan neck from 1939, his first model with with his name stamped on sole, hard to read on the 2 wood.

There's a nice AT2W with the aluminium firing pin, a few M75s, an M85 super eye-o-matic, a Byron Nelson 663T, a Tommy Armour 693, a keyhole insert M2TW and a few M43s, all varying states of restoration, various conditions, probably half with original shafts and grips, only four or five parts of full sets.

The one that gets used most is the M75 that is in the middle of being stripped down and tarted up a little.

My Armour AT2W 2 Wood had a black and red keyhole insert, original shaft. Was awesome. Wish I still had it. I've got a Great 1954 M85W 2 wood with original shaft and A+++ horseshoe grain, orig. leather grip. I've never hit it. I should take that out...

I know you're meant to prefer the M85s, but I find the M75s a little bit neater for some reason. Hard to put my finger on, just super sweet looking clubs and that is a doozy of a deuce.

JMSDKS, yours looks like the kissing cousin to my M75W driver.

 

When I stripped the old lacquer off of mine for a refinishing, it did take a bit of the stain that was siting on the wood. I ended up with the same finish you did....certainly lighter than original, but very pleasant to the eye.

Just hit a few tee shots with my M75W 2 wood. Once I stopped trying to overpower it I hit some nice shots. The E shaft was fine and allowed me to feel the head throughout the swing. For crying out loud, this club is as old as me (61)!! And the original red/black leather wrap grip is still tacky albeit a tad hard. Using Lexol helped there. I may just take it out next time I play.

To be 18 again , on a hot summer day with a pal or two, whacking range balls with one of those 2 woods, thats just the best... To be able to remember doing that, with a great persimmon club and a leather grip, the feel and the memory is the best...

Several months ago I sold almost all my misc lh persimmons to a lefty, had about 100 of them. In lh 2 woods all I have left is a couple Hogans and a First Flight.

I've been using a 2 wood off the deck for the last year. Need it because my driving doesn't go far enough...

Started with a Jack Nicklaus 2w, with lamkin crossline grip. I like it.

Then I got a set of M23 - seem like senior shafts. These are great.

Recently at a range I noticed I was getting great results with the 2 wood. Really straight. I'd been playing pretty poorly for months, and that range session got my sequence back (or something like that).

So I tried using the 2w off the tee. I'm not consistent enough to really know, but it does seem like I have less fade with it on a good shot. It's a bit high, which is OK for carry over a hill but I prefer to keep the ball lower. But I just might commit to a couple games with the 2 wood.

Actually, if I lose the driver I can add a 1 iron!
