Weight reduction, help the putter sit square I guess in situations where sole draft isn't used, just for looks.

I’m joking of course, but at the same time, not really. When I talked to David, he mentioned it depends on the putter and it’s weight after milling and where the center of gravity is. With my Dale he made at the weight I wanted, a bullet sole is mostly aesthetics.

I believe the bullet sole on my Fleetwood was for weight reduction. I did not ask David for it, my assumption is he added it to meet my weight request.

I didn't notice any affect on setup. The bullet sole on mine does look further back compared to some of the recent Fleetwoods posted with bullet soles.

This is something I’ve noticed lately. I’ve seen the position of the bullet sole everywhere. The leading edge, the middle and more toward the back edge. I assume it’s based on the balance and weighting of the heads .

David told me bullet sole changes center of gravity for more solid strike on low contact.  Guess it can also be used for weight reduction.

I THINK bullets are more than just cosmetics. Apart from weight loss, I understand it can alter CG as alluded to above and MOI.
