Oceans Eleven Confessions to break a man's heart....

But I've seen alcohol ruin many lives, including my family. Not a fan of alcohol, but I don't care if people drink so long as they can handle themselves and know their limits :)

This is very true Hammer. A highly destructive drug with very few, if any, health benefits. I have witnessed first hand the damage it causes and I always find it somewhat hypocritical that alcohol seems to get a pass from governments, yet other drugs are so highly regulated. That's not to say other drugs are risk free - they most certainly are not - it just seems like a double standard. The damage and cost to the taxpayer each year from alcohol related illnesses, probably outweighs all other drugs combined.

Wolf for president! (Oh, dammit, your Canadian) Even though alcohol's damaging effects are well know, it is now too entrenched in human culture. I gotta admit, a nice Pinot Noir should never be regulated or restricted.

I'm not suggesting that alcohol should be banned. I like a nice glass of red as much as anyone, especially with a big, juicy steak. I don't know what the answer is to be honest. I just know the damage alcohol does and that it is not treated by governments accordingly. It's a complex problem, as is the war on drugs, which is basically un-winnable. Some different, even radical thinking is required to address both of these issues.

Thanks for the Presidential nomination though Thug! Don't forget I'm English, not Canadian (I just live here). Obviously that still disqualifies me, but at least I could conduct my failed White House bid in a posh accent.

Well guys I almost had a number to write home about today, I finished my final early and decided to head out with some buddies to play. Turned in 1 under, birdied 10, holed out on 11 from 98 yards, stumbled coming in but finished 2 under 70. I can't think of a time before that I hit my wedges so good, short game and putting are still a mess but we're getting close. Beautiful day too we hit 32* I think which I think is 90*f, no time for a patio beer and some more studying, hope y'all are well.

Nice 70 kic! Sounds like you left a few out there. Next, a 67!

Great round KIC! Really impressive, especially if your putting is still not there yet. I'm also very jealous of the weather you guys get out there. Always seems to be so much nicer than here. I'm trying to persuade Mrs Wolf that we need to move to Calgary so I can play golf more regularly. She doesn't seem to be going for it....yet.

I say we get a Trackman and a video camera. Hit driver. Fire up a fatty. Hit it 17 yards farther. Sell to the public.

Edit: Of course, Ninja would claim it's all marketing and explain through "physics" that we packed our one hitters wrong. LMAO!!!!

Edit Edit: but, we'll be so baked, we won't care!! :drag:

Great round KnockItClose! Nothing better than getting the wedges firing. It's a great feeling hitting anything tight, but I think part of it is the feeling of failure leaving a wedge outside of 20 feet. You feel like it's a missed opportunity.

Agree about the costs of alcohol to society. It's almost like we select for alcoholism by encouraging it during college-age and then most grow out of it, but the ones that don't....

My intake is a pint or two after a round and usually a glass or two of wine at home. But, I was a terror from 16 to 20.

Thug, I'd probably surprise you. There's not much in the way of hallucinogenics that I haven't tried. Not that I'm proud of that, just the truth. I used to be a pretty into the jamband music scene.

I put that putter up on the BST as an auction of sorts saying the best offer will take it. I'm getting $300's rolling in, and I think that's about fair. We'll see....

Perfect. Burner. Aeroburner. Burner Bubble.

Fairways and Greens will simply be the FG series. "Try the new FG 59! Tastes like buttah!!" ;)

Love it. "The FG series is a non-drowsy light tasting blend at 12.3% THC, with a low occurrence of analogs and derivatives, so you'll be focused instead of nodding off over your swing. Slight rose and pear hints, superb."

Very nice KIC! I'd write home and all over the WRX with that. And a hole out? That's knocking it better than close. Glad you are having warm weather up there. Very nice down here across the border in Wash too. I have had three 70's but never in the sixty somethings. I struggle to break 80 every so often now but I'm still holding out hope for a fluke round.

Wow! What a difference a day makes. 5 pars 2 doubles (grrr) 42.

Chunked like 3 wedges shots. WTF?? Lol.

Swing keys are not set in. Having trouble trusting them. When I do, it's good. A few times indecision cost me. Paired up with a guy on the 1st tee and I played it down and in.

Feel like I'm right there. Irons feel good. Getting the distances dialed in. Still bombing the driver when I can "see" the shot I want to hit and commit to it. A couple of times it was hit and hope because I couldn't "see" it. Couldn't commit. 2 fairways out of 7 is NO BUENO!!

Wedges will come around. I don't often chunk short game shots but hit a couple stinkers today.

Maybe I'll try again tomorrow....and Friday...and Monday....and Tuesday....and... you get the idea.

Have good one gents. I'm going to sleep.

So my irons came in today. Bad news is I'm returning them. The guy was super nice about it but a couple of the ferrules were loose like they didn't even epoxy them. There were also some nicks and markings from a loft and lie matching on the irons that weren't shown in the pictures and he never mentioned. I'm not one to be overly picky about this kind of stuff but I paid him the price I did because he told me they were basically un played Exocet hitting some shots with the 3 and 8 irons. The finish also wasn't even. What really gives me red flag alerts were that the places where the clubs were put into a vending machine seemed indented like they were bent poorly.

My gut just screamed at me to return them because I felt like there might be something else he wasn't saying. I hat doing this because they look freaking fantastic but something was off. He did try to give me a decent option on a partial refund but I just don't want something else to pop up down the road. Just waiting for him to refund me and I'll send them back (I did tell him I'll cover shipping as it was $50 to get to me) and keep looking maybe if I can find a good deal somewhere.

Forever Changing at this point.......

Really bad luck old chap. Good to hear you're getting your money back.

That said, if they were the sort of clubs that you get in a vending machine, I can't help thinking your expectations might have been a little high?

And Kansas is from Kansas. They were literally a bunch of kids from some town in Kansas, and they developed a very sonic, sophisticated, and highly technical music. Great band.
