Well Deninny, I just did a range session with the MP-33's and now I'm strongly considering putting them back in the bag and taking the MP-57's back out. Dang peer pressure...

I had a stint with the 57's. I loved everything about them, other than the performance. Lol. Just couldn't hit those things for $h!t and the sweetspot seemed to be the size of a pea. If you're bagging those and / or the 33's your a better man than me Chief.

Or just in over my head Wolf! Lol!

Hey MC, have you checked out Sports Authority in Springfield for any good deals? I'm looking to pick up one of those age 2-5 golf sets for my boy specifically but always open to a good deal!

Just scored a set of TM Burner 1.0 Irons 4i(21*)-Aw(50*)off of Kijiji tonight for a great deal. Had been wanting to try an actual "Forgiving" club just for kicks lately and I just could t pass up the deal. Gonna try them out tomorrow. That's the 9i in the pick and all the faces are around that clean. These haven't seen much action I don't think.

I'm really lucky MC. I live out on the farm now on a 5 acre lot so I've got a "green" mowed into the corner of the property. I can go back to about 160-170 yards!

That's nice. I used to have an acre and the guy behind me had 10. I could hit up to 150 from the backyard over the barn and out into the horse pasture.

Now, I live in town.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Seriously, there is no reason in any law of physics that you can't game those MP-33s as well as your MP-57s. The only reason is if you tell yourself you can't play them well. The only difference between those two clubs is that a mishit just FEELs less harsh with your MP-57s.

If you don't believe me, have you ever done a literal side by side test on the range with both sets? I challenge you to take both sets out to the range and hit the same exact shot multiple times with the same club from each set. Even try to repeat the same mishit with both. I seriously doubt you will be able to tell which club is better or worse in terms of actual result, but the MP-33s will FEEL worse at times.

If you are already playing a muscled cavity back club, you...might as well play blades...just sayin'...

I have to agree with Ninja, Philippines is where it's at. I haven't had the chance to play many courses out there though, just Mimosa up in Clark Air Force Base (Angeles City). The caddies are great, most are cute too, and yeah if your interested...... ;) :D I have to say I was impressed by the caddying as well. I've been looking into playing the Philippine Golf Tour once this is over, it would be a good first step before the Asian Development Tour and eventually Asian Tour. Lots of hard work before then though.

Ninja, Southwoods aye?!! Nice, I bet it was beautiful. The Philippine Golf Tour plays all the nice courses out there so I'll be looking forward to that.

...

Oh man you gotta let me know if you get on that tour. You never know, I may get out there. I've got connections too! And yes there are some phenomenal courses out there. Southwoods I think is a Nicklaus designed course. It was in immaculate shape and just beautiful.

You're preaching to the choir D lol. I'm not a believer in forgiveness. 90% manufacturer hype in my opinion.

The interesting thing is I seem to have instantly regained iron distance with the 33's. Both have S300's and both have been fairly recently adjusted to the same specs.

LOL I take no shame in getting on my blades soap box if given the slightest opportunity.

If you adjusted your specs to be the same, did that make your MP-33 lofts stronger? They are a different generation than the MP-57s and so their original lofts may be weaker. If you have the same shafts in both and they are the same specs, then you should be similar in distance. I have sets of MP-60s and MP-67s with the same exact specs and the same Rifle 5.0 shafts, and they just about have the exact same distances. The MP-60s may go 1/2 a club longer on a really pure strike.

In other news, I fixed my $hit from yesterday and vacation. Went from a 94 to an 82. W00T! The baby blades were working well. Part of my problem earlier was that I was coming out of the shot just after impact and I was not keeping my arms extended through and PAST impact. Wow, what a difference it made today with just focusing on that. My follow through swing was nice and high today and ball contact was SOLID. I'm going to add this to my swing notebook....STAY EXTENDED PAST IMPACT!!!

Glad to hear your game came back around! Whenever I find a swing thought that works, I ride that thing for all its worth!

Actually had to go check my sheet because I couldn't remember if I had my 33's strong or my 57's weak. I play:

4: 24*

5: 27*

6: 31*

7: 35*

8: 39*

9: 43*

PW: 47*

And then I've got Callaway X forged wedges. A 52* bent to 51* and a 56* bent to 57*. All of my lies are progressive.

Wow, all caught up. You guys are animals lately. Seems like I was perpetually

TOOLed there for awhile and getting them back in the typical dribs and drabs.

More blades talk. I feel bad leaving my blades at home but I don't want them

beat bouncing around in the side box. My cast Ping S58s can handle it and

not show a ding.

I still need to get the lofts and lies checked out on the Macs when I get home

and get the Mac wedges shafted up. So much to do and so little time.

Um....did something just fly over my head??? Mrs. P????

My bad I thought I mentioned that, me and the Mrs have gotten back together :)

If you said it I missed it, lol.

I HAVE noticed you're posting more and club hoing more again, lol....just like old

times................ :D

No "wager" thread possible now. You and PD would get the DTs just at the

thought of it haha.

I just happened to come across them on Kijiji last night and the price was just too good to pass up. I've never really tried any GI clubs before, closest I've ever had was a set of Knockoff TM Supersteel irons and even they were just a deep CB. I can't see these getting more than a test run and a range session lol. Man they look big!! I've actually only ever had one TM club before too, an SLDR that lasted less than 15 minutes at the range haha.

Edit: As bad as my swing has been lately, I'll take "Ball goes in general direction of target" right now haha

Give 'em a fair shake, my man. The first thing you'll notice is they sound different but, a center hit feels the same on every kind of iron I've ever hit.

Be careful not to fall in love with the high ball flight. :D
