Clubhouse Grille (*** NO LIV DISCUSSIONS ***) (*** NO POLITICS/RELIGION ***)

They started this upgrade over a year ago out of necessity. We're well aware of all the issues that have cropped up along the way. Despite adding lots of new features, the basic system doesn't really work any better than it did in the original release, at least it doesn't for me. Heck, I'm composing this on a brand new machine and it still lags and bogs and stalls. It doesn't really appear that there's any intention to make it function better. If there is it's pretty low on the priority list. This morning it took me a quarter hour to compose and post that three line response!

At some point a fellow has to make a decision. If you belong to a club with a great group of guys, but the course isn't being maintained and the rules are favouring one group over another in a competition, do you want to keep playing there? Maybe I'll change my tune if and when we actually get out on the golf course, but for now I think it's a good time to take a sabbatical.

Take care fellows and I hope you and your loved ones all make it through this ordeal unscathed. Stay safe!

I love stopping by the Grille! Fine company and great banter.

Hey, I was cycling in the big park by my house in Brooklyn and heard all kinds of crazy noises coming from the little zoo. It’s closed but I guess they are still letting the animals out a bit. I got off my bike to investigate and check out what I saw, lol.

MXN8N9SZQL8R.jpeg

Meantime, I do *not condone this behavior but here’s NYers for ya

NYC golfers are sneaking onto courses despite coronavirus closures

“One hot-headed duffer denied there was even a ban. “They got the gates wide open, so why don’t they close the gates if they don’t want nobody in here?” snarled the Joe Pesci soundalike, clad in a Mets cap and sweatshirt emblazoned with “Barracudas” across the chest. “This is more social-distancing than anywhere else you go. You go to the grocery store you’re two to three feet away from each other. Over here, you’re a hundred feet away from each other!”

The guilty golfer pulled his hoodie over his head and skulked off the course.

“You should mind your business, man!” warned another club-wielding interloper, who defiantly played on. “Social shaming can mind its own business and go f–k itself!”

Really good you have the socially aware golfers around. A nice big fine may change their attitude, that’s what they are doing in Australia. We in the Grille know how to do stuff and we also have Tammy and Cyndy to keep us nicely fed with food and wit.

Well, just so Sean knows who Tammy and Cyndy are I decided to sneak into Sixty's house and borrow this pic of them. Sixty will explain

who is who and who is what to who but methinks the blond is Cyndy and the brunette is Tammy.

People are going batty but theres no excuse, we are all in this together. In fact, since my gym closed, I had been going to the park and doing pull-ups in this little playground area. Then they closed that playground! Not the park, thank Goodness, just this playground in the park. But these guys were still going in there and working out. I thought about it, then decided to do the right thing.

So I found this perfect tree branch to do my pull-ups on, Lol!

The reason Tammy is laughing in the pic is she had asked Cyndy why she had taken the paper off of the straws and put them in the drinks before serving them. Cyndy said 'so the people wouldn't get corona coyotes from the paper'. Tammy asked 'do you mean corona cooties?' and Cyndy said 'yeah, well that too!'

What you have to remember is there are many other ways to become infected and they are all available on the golf course. Birds could crap on you, flies could land on you, now are you aware of the dangers. These could come directly from an interaction with a infected person and you would not be aware of it.???

Be grateful the authorities have your best interests at heart.

I've been a little busy with a whole bunch of tasks i refer to as junk jobs.

Things that are normal part of owing a home and having a large yard area with the woods trying to reclaim

a couple feet of it every year ! Figured with the down time, i'd get all these things done and if it opens up,then

i will be free to play. Started out with the weed eater......got a little carried away, and ended up clearing

when i was only planning on cutting the edge of the yard...oh well..looks better !

That’s been my job for a while now, every day around 2hrs weeding and you still cannot see much improvement, get there eventually.

Went out today to buy fuel for the new generator we have fitted as a just in case. Not big enough to do the air conditioner but will run all the lights and fridges. Surprised at how empty the roads were

Looking at designs for our door on the newly renovated area, a minefield .

Nice to see someone else in here.

Well they say there is nothing called coincidence, everything in the universe happens as it is supposed to.

We have had our generator wired up for three days, purchased fuel for it this morning and this afternoon some idiot hoon in a car took out a power pole and a high voltage connection box so we are out of mains power for around six hours.

Generator works perfectly, just have to get used to no Power kettle, microwave etc as it is only large enough to run the lights TV and fridges, apart from that woo hoo.

Pretty quiet down here. We're allowed to play golf but my golf buds got scared and we haven't played in about a week

and a half or so. I'm not one to go out solo, except to practice, and I don't practice much, lol. Practice is most often counter-

productive for me because it's so easy, through sheer repetition, to groove some sort of swing or set up fault. For me,

the best way to get my game going is to just play more and stay away from the range; save for the occasional short

"warmup" session.

The only practice I've found to be effective for me is short game work around greens and from bunkers. Even doing that

too much, can and has messed with my full swing. Golf is a weird game where practicing some parts of your game can

endanger other parts; thus why, IMO, it's so hard to have ALL parts of one's game working well AT THE SAME TIME!
