LOL I have never understood what it is about golf that gets so many people sucked into absolute, total nonsense, and a good amount of it is only a click away on this forum! 😂 Other sports I played were not like that, and nothing my sons are involved in are prone to this stuff either. A mystery.

how’d you like to be paired up with him? some people might want to beat the snot out of him with the flagstick after about 8 holes.

 

you could take your son and have him do a takedown, then pin him.

If I ever saw a range finder whipped out on the green, I would immediately go and putt my ball straight up, no questions asked, no pause.

 

How about this “forgot to do any putting practice before that tourney which probably contributed significantly to my poor putting performance overall.”

 

Damn, y’all think the events I’m playing in the next three weeks will require putting? Uh oh. 😂

Ha!  Yeah, briefed the putting rangefinder guy post.  Gotta know your stats to ball out.  Prolly does Aimpoint also. 10 minutes ET to miss a 10’ putt.

 

Do believe I’d blow a gasket.  “Hold my beer. SLDR time.”

That was like 2 weeks or so to go in a league event. We played a team Modified Stableford. Our highest handicap member is a 42 no joke. Now that team won. In this event and most events the teams are computer pick. All team handicap totals were within 2 strokes of each other. Pretty evenly matched if you ask me. Our team played frankly like crap but we did get last place on the payout. Those 2 days made the decision for me to switch back to my blades. Now handicaps are locked in for the 2 day events. All in all I find it fair the way our league is ran. Anyhow some of the guys were griping about the 42. On our system we can look up anyone's scores. The 42 shot 3 under his handicap for Tuesday and 2 under his handicap Thursday. Combined with the other players on his team shooting their handicap or better they won. Like I said I played like crap those 2 days and shot over my handicap both days. I pulled that guy's score and the whole team. I showed the complainers what was what. They scored points in that format and deserved to win. And no he was not sandbagging either just had a good week

Golf looks so easy yet is so hard to play that people desperately want to believe that there is some kind of secret to it.   And there are a whole lot of people out there who are willing to sell them that "secret."

It will be 10x worse than now.   Once upon a time I did this. Tried to go to just my first name.  You find out quick that tribal alliances are real.  And so is tolerance vs real like.  
 

proved to me that I’m not strange. I’m just honest. Most folks aren’t very honest with their affiliations.  They tolerate others for selfish reasons.  Not me. Probably what holds me back professionally.  Don’t care.  Ive tried the passive aggressive approach. It always sours at some point.   Better to be outside than have the illusion of being inside.

An email to the State Attorney General might help.  Should be very detailed.  Ours would be all over a case like that, but then again, he's running for Governor.
