What a shocker from Lee on the 18th in reg then she almost holes the chip in the playoff, crazy stuff!

 

Carlota's bunker shot on 14 wasn't much better, in the end I couldn't decide who deserved it but very happy to see Carlota get her first win..

 

Well I got the Non-Korean win bit right but I never expected a 75 from Lee would get her in a playoff, with the rain missing fairways was particularly penal today and plenty struggled..

Looks like anyone in the top 10 has a shot at this. Unusual to see Carlota Ciganda so near the top on a Sunday, but she has the game if she can avoid blowup holes. Shanshan can easily go low. A round of 65 might get one of the top 10 into a playoff and a few could do that if they hold their nerve and the leaders falter.

 

 

Wow - Carlota did it with a 70. No need for a 65!

 

Great to see her win. It was time she won something. One of the more interesting players always, and as everyone says she's been under-achieving in terms of finishes. Happy to see this result.

 

Will it give her the confidence to win again? Who knows.......

Has Allison always been a shorter hitter? I was amazed to see Ciganda (i know she puts it out there pretty good) be 30 - 40 yards past where Lee was on 18 with a 3 wood.

 

Was that a flat out choke? Hate to say that and hope she gets in contention again soon but wowzers.

Alison fits into the 'just above average' category at 254, Carlota is inside the Top 10 at 270.88 and she has a mean 3 wood..

 

Alison did hit it into the rough on 18 as well which slowed it's progress quite abruptly.

 

The biggest choke was the water ball in regulation, no idea what happened there. Surely she wasn't aiming at the pin...??

Congrats to Ciganda for the win. Finally my favorite Spaniard gets one.

Was a painful final round to watch, though. Not a big fan of Lee but it did still hurt to watch her make a mistake after mistake. And that flag hunting exercise... what on earth was she thinking!!!!!

IMO anyone who wins as a non-member should get like, a deluxe Rolex or something. It's arguably an even bigger accomplishment.

I know I'm late to the party but: Wow! Finally watched the final round that I had recorded over the summer (it's been very busy).

 

Too bad I couldn't get my wife to watch it with me. She thinks women's golf is boring. This round would have changed her mind.

 

After each bad shot, Alison Lee looked like she was ready to give up and just chunk the ball in the rest of the way. Goes to show: Don't give up no matter how bad things get in a tournament. You never know what the other players are going to do. I was stunned when they jumped ahead in the coverage and she was back to trailing by 1.

Lol. Two weeks ago, with little golf on TV, I decided to watch the 2015 Solheim Cup that I had saved on my DVR. Even though I knew the outcome, I was still on the edge of my seat.
