My friends played the Red Thursday. Course was OK for the most part but DID need work.

It wasn't in bad shape by any means. They just said that some of the greens weren't in the best shape. It's still playable. They still enjoyed it.

This is probably insane considering we got snow yesterday, but it seems to have melted from grass on the south shore. Any idea if any public courses will be open tomorrow? I have a time at Bethpage but not sure if they will be open.

My guess is most public courses will be open as long as there's no more rain between now and tomorrow morning.

My friend just played Brentwood CC [public] and he said it wasn't too bad but that was before the snow.

Bethpage only opened Blue, and it was walking only. I’m happy to walk and was able to get a time since my round on Red was cancelled.

Has anyone played Eisenhower Red this year? I'm curious if the conditions have improved since they killed their greens in 2017. I've been trying to play new courses as Bethpage has been out of commission. I've knocked out Mill Pond and Timber Point, but would love to stay in Nassau.

Played Eisenhower Red earlier today. Some greens are still pretty burnt out, while some greens are great. For the most part, the burnt out areas were still grass, not dirt. Hopefully conditions continue to improve.

What time did you get there? We're probably going to have to go this route in July.

we got the 3rd tee time; and one of our guys got to bethpage at 12:30pm on friday, for a saturday tee time. by 10pm there was 25-30 spots filled.

*keep in mind this was due in part b/c the courses are walk-up only for a week or so i believe - by july the reservation system should be up and running. typically i've got to the park at about 5-7pm the night before and was in the top 5 cars parked.
