I'd be curious to know if anyone is playing a Atmos Black 7s in a TM SIM 9* head. Just was fitted into this combo and really liked what Trackman was saying out on the range. I eliminated my dreaded miss to the left. I was pretty tired from a long week of playing twice and hitting the range 3 times - some stats: SS ~105 to 107mph, spin was around 2100-2200, AoA was +4 and smash factor was consistently around 1.49-.50.

I play the 10.5* turned down one click, at 44.5” untipped and D4 Swingweight.

I’m not a bomber, but it’s definitely one of the straightest combos I’ve hit.

The only time that I miss left is when I’m exaggerating the right side bend which is basically the easiest way for me to hit a high draw.

Left is more swing error than shaft related.

I play an old speeder 757 evolution ts stiff now and i like it, realy stable. Have been playing the tensei av blue 65s that came in the epic flash a bit but cant hit it, feels like its to loose and it goes right or hook left if im trying to close it more but straight if im realy slowing the swing down. I have a pretty agressive transition and fight to much spin, dont know ss but around 100-105 maby. So where wondering how atmos black ts 65 s or x wold fit (sorry for my bad english)

The Atmos TS black is very stiff and stable, as much as anything out there in my opinion

Okej thanks so mutch for the respond. Mutch differense feel wise vs the speeder exept the weight?

I know this is an old thread, but chiming in to share some love for TS Black in my driver.  I'm not high speed (mid 140s ball speed), but the stiff/stable feel of the 6-S (untipped) is really nice for me.  Launch is fine (I'm high launch) and the stability is confidence inspiring.  Feel is firmer in the handle than I'm used to, but it's not so stiff overall that it's hurting my launch or leaking to the left. I'm.a Fuji guy comparing this to my prior experience with Evo II, 6.2 VC, Pro 63, and Ventus Blue 6. 

 

TL:DR - Don't be afraid to try this shaft even if you don't generally fit the Tour Spec profile.

I got the Ventus Blue & Blacks but I have my Special Edition black 6x ATMOS in my SIM 2 head, such a nice controlled, very smooth shaft. ❤it

Just dropping by to say I put the atmos tour spec black 6s in my mizzy 220 and my god I’m driving it so well.

 

had the st200 with stock diamana s+ shaft before and it worked well but it was just too whippy.

 

220 definitely lacks a bit of ball speed but if I’m hitting it in the fairway more times than not, I’ll take it!

 

a lot of pros still rock these. Tom Kim, Vijay, hikock, jed Morgan, nick taylor….

I put a tour spec 8x red in a tsr2 21 degree. Crazy awesome. It doesn’t balloon and is high and long.
