Best Golf Ball of the Last 5-6 Years

For those of you talking about the 2014 b330s, is it really that much better than the current version? I just recently came around to b-stones and love the new b330s, but if the older one is that much better, I may have to get some.

 

Also- totally agree with the TPX, and to me the TP5X is just as good.

 

The 2016 B330s is an awesome ball. Not worth the effort of collecting the old ones...

It's definitely a great ball and I'd have no problem playing it, but I have a love affair with the previous model. And it's also no hassle at all to acquire them. When you can buy in bulk for $25 a dozen it was a no brainer for me.

Regular Z Star or XV? I've tried the XV but not regular Z-star. Love the performance of the XV, but don't like how firm it is off the putter face. How different is the Z-star (regular) performance wise?

For slower swing speed golfers and higher handicappers like myself I have to give kudos to the Callaway Supersoft. It more or less led the less expensive "soft" ball revolution and has dramatically helped many of us hackers.

I like both. Good performance around the greens. XV a bit firm so the softness of the z-star is a solution for that.

3. TM Lethal - Other than the absolutely stupid name this golf ball was great, it was (I believe) a 4 piece ball that was extremely stable in the wind.

TM Lethal was a 5 piece ball.

I've really enjoyed the B330s this year. Not the most forgiving, but properly struck I think its the highest performing ball out there.
