i found this the other week at a golf consignment shop....it was cheap, so i grabbed it. Black, carbon steel, nice milled face...other than it being a dunlop, i love it. Original grip, shaft band, even had the true temper stamp still on the shaft....and picked up a brand new head cover on the ebay for cheap.

 

It won't replace the betti in the bag, but it'll sit in the office till i sell it

I did some very good affordable putters for Dunlop. Not $400 but very good putter as well as something people can afford. I am glad you rescued it.

Just recent started getting into Tad’s putter. Have a Pro 1 TS, TM-7, and a 98 1st production with copper insert. Is there a list of the TM models. I know the TM-2 and TM-7 are different heads, just wondering on the other models.

I've recently become interested in collecting some Tad Moore putters, and the obvious ones to start with are the classic Maxfli line.

 

Problem is - I can't find a definitive list of the Maxfli models (TM-1 to TM-14?? Or are there more?) - I read somewhere that some of the numbers denote lefty heads.

 

Anyone have more info on the Maxflis?

I've had this Tour Classic for years and take it out to the course from time to time. Incredible feel. I just don't want to ruin it. Still has the original grip and shaft band too.

My 2 Tad's that I picked up a couple years ago from my friend Chip Usher of Usher Golf.
I game the one in Oil Can quite often.  Absolutely love it.  That washboard face milling is legit.

Stick a shaft in that bad boy and game it!  They are great feeling putters.
Is the head finished or is it raw?  Chip was using BOS for a lot of his finishes.  That's who did the black ox and the oil can finish on mine and they came out great.

Head was raw and later torched to an oil can color .

Just acquired a Character Tad Moore. Should arrive early next week. Looking forward to seeing the washboard milling up close.

Just picked up a Tad Moore Tour Classic and Maxfli TM-4 in a group deal. Loving the Tour Classic feel and pleasantly surprised with the TM-4 too! Was looking for something quality that wasn’t a Scotty like everyone else and I couldn’t be more pleased.
